I disregarded everyone’s advice to come early, because on the way to Bocas it didn’t seem necessary. When I rolled up at 9:30 am, the ferry had already pulled away from the dock. So I sat there, making sad arm gestures and prayer hands at the attendants, and they shook their heads “no” taking up ropes & doing boat related things. And then, a big truck rolled up just behind me, which had also missed the boat, and they actually reversed the ferry and let us both on! What a miracle, I really wouldn’t have fancied the many hours wait in Bocas town for the afternoon ferry.

Lesson here, don’t be like me and also don’t trust the schedule! 10am might mean 9:30 if they have loaded everyone that was waiting, get there early! Cost both coming and going was $10 for the moto.

To Almirante, the schedules are 10am and 3pm. Same here come early cause it leaves before the set time!! For 2 people and 2 bicycles we didn’t pay to go back, I m not sure why though. Paid $3 pp to come to bocas.

Definitely get here early, when we arrived at 9.10 the ferry was nearly full and it left at 9.49. We paid $50 each way for our kombi and two people.

Again, the schedule on Tuesday for sure it leaves at 5pm...
We parked the van in the morning and ask the lady at the office and she told us to be there at 2 cause it leaves at 3... we waited and waited... some trucks were going on the ferry at 3, very slowly. Then we asked the arrival time and he said 7pm... because it leaves at 5! not 3 😒

Just want to add - today I walked to the ferrydock at around 9.15 and asked when they would departure. Some of the staff said 10 am. So I came back with my motorbike at around 9.40 but then the ferry was full of vehicles and about to leave. I asked some of te staff if the last truck could reverse a bit so I could squeeze in between some of the other vehicles but got a mellow NO! But the truckdriver saw me and reversed off the ferry and let me squeeze in in front (great guy) - and off we went at around 9.45.

So my advice is to be here early, at least 30 minutes before scheduled departure time, maybe even one hour before is more secure.

The coordinates are correct but the schedule isnt quiet correct.

Tuesday it leaves 9,30 am (dont ask me how I know...😏) and 5 pm.
Sunday it leaves only once at that is 3 pm.

This is the right location where the ferry arrives and leaves. Schedule to Almirante 10am - 3pm. Monday closed.
