You can camp anywhere you want really. Another post mentioned that wild camping was allowed, especially in the river beds. But warnings have been made about elephants and flash flooding.
This spot: Amazing views of the Brandberg Mountain. Drive past the white lady lodge reception and follow the tracks almost to the end where it reaches the river bed. There are numerous tracks within the area, but the spot is located a bit higher up so that you look down to the river. If you have driven all the way to the end to the river bed, drive back towards the lodge keeping right. You will know you are on the right way when driving past an old car wreck. You pass a lone tree and then come to a fork, either going left or right. Take the track on the right. You will see the spot because there is a little tree growing when you look at the view away from the mountain.
Seems people have camped here before as there was a small fire pit and writing in the sand:) quiet. No other people. We felt safe and comfortable. You can climb the rocks and have awesome views over the area. If you are up high enough on the rocks you can see the lodge. But you are hidden from their view.

Wonderful spot! Lots of animal traces passing by.
Really windy during sunset/sunrise hours. Lots of flies.
Stunning spot. heaps of space, nice and level and awesome view.
The most stunning sunset!
We arrived at 5.40pm and FOUR cars passed by us lol, but no one stopped. Busy time of year :)
We got here through white lady lodge and carried on past the reception area all the way down.
still the best place in the area. in the shade of the rocks and very quiet.
Report Check-InAs described the site has a stunning view of the Ugab river and is nestled between some rocky outcrops. Please buy/ collect wood before you get here as the small trees and shrubs already have a tough life without you hacking at them.
Report Check-InOne of our favorite places especially during rainy season when the Ugab River is wet and swampy like now!
Report Check-InWe stayed a second night. Not a single person came by. Again a great stay and would recommend.
Also recommend to explore the Ugab river. There are tracks in the dry river bed. Be careful if you turn left in the river bed you will eventually come to some swaps. They are obvious to see. You can drive down the river bed (turn right) and it will eventually bring you to the white lady lodge. We were cheeky and used their taps to do our dishes and fill our bottles. The camp site is huge so it’s unlikely someone will notice or even check. You could even use their toilets and showers.
