Latest Check-Ins

Nobody was there, I think its closed for a while now..

Report Check-In

nice place at the river with a little rrstaurant, all you need.

Report Check-In

This Place apparently lives from the good ratings from the past.
The owner is nice yes, but the place is filthy and covered with garbage all over, wifi doesn't work, loud neighbors and the interamericana does the rest.
10000 for two person. The dogs were the best thing there.

Report Check-In

The owners are super nice and welcoming and we felt right at home when we arrived. They are currently updating the toilets / showers (right now, there is no drain for the shower, so you will flood the bathroom).

Unfortunately, when we stayed, the neighbor played loud "ruff-tata" music the whole day, which was irritating. Obviously nothing they have any influence about.

The internet was spotty, worked ok during the day, but basically unusable in the morning and evening. No good cell service unless you have kölbi.

We stayed on a weekend, so this might be the reason for both the neighbors music and slow WiFi.

We paid C3500 per person in a van. Parking lot is nicely leveled. Not much solar, but you can plug into their electricity.

Would recommend especially for bikers, tents or backpackers, because they can organize tours in the area.

Report Check-In

Very nice and friendly owner. Gave us good recommandation about the region.
Clean bathroom, cosy corner with couches, sink, games.
We paid 5000 colones for 2 people with our camper as we didn't need electricity for the van.
Calm place, can only recommend!

Report Check-In

We only spent one night here. Behind the house on the interamericana in the garden. With extension electricity. Diego was really nice and eager but for us it was not very interesting and also not nice to stay there. 6000 pp with electricity, 5000 pp without electricity. Wifi okay but only at the common room

Report Check-In

We stayed at Diegos place much longer than planned because he was such a super nice host and cared so much about us. Clean kitchen and bathrooms available, a lot of nice animals to spot. Highly recommended to stay a few days because it is the perfect location to start in Guanacaste, Santa Rosa, rincón de la Vieja National parks and several other local places. Thanks Diego, will come back!

Report Check-In

We can just confirm what it has been told, Diego is a super host and is super nice. We spent the evening with him talking about everything about him, us and Costa Rica, great moments. The toilets and showers are clean, a kitchen area is available with little extra fees to use it. It is close to the road so we could think this is noisy but that is not annoying at all since we are behind the hostel/restaurant.
We paid 3500 colones pp.
Highly recommended!

Diego and his wife have a lovely place there. You can camp there, take a shower or sleep in a room. They offer food and drinks. It's a very nice atmosphere there. Perfect to relax and take some time off. Diego is from Costa Rica but stayed about 20 years in Holland. Of course he speaks Dutch, Spanish and English. If you got more time go on one of his tours, he offers some really cool local stuff!

Diego and his family are amazing they are more than welcoming to their place and they will be really happy to show you around. Diego is pushing hard after some family have passed away. Good stop close to the boarder. Wifi, water for tank, restaurent on site. Very nice chatty owner. Gated and space for big rigs. There was a guy there with a 30 foot travel trailer. He was also plugged in so I’m assuming electricity is available. 3500 pp

Report Check-In

All as previously described, super friendly owners, great space, delicious food. Just to add that more space is being cleared all the time so they could fit lots of vans and tents now.

We camped here for 3 nights after coming from Nicaragua.

We’re cyclists and met other cyclists as well who came along for food or cold drinks.

Edward, Wilma and Diego, thanks for the warm welcome.!!!

Report Check-In

Very nice guy to welcome you to Costa Rica. He is super excited about showing you his land and explaining a little of history about the area! The space is a bit small, maybe 2-3 van could fit in, but it is pretty quiet and nice view.

Report Check-In

Edvard and Vilma are nice hosts. They gave us a very warm welcome. They started the business some months ago and so there are some things to be fixed but nevertheless ammenities are fine and clean. They charged 3500 CRC pP/night.
Beside that they organize very nice tours through the dry djungle and by the river. We highly recommend the tour!!!

Report Check-In

Camped here for one night. Friendly Dutch owner Edward welcomed us heartily and gave us a tour of his restaurant and the river area. There is a lot of space for camping, bathrooms are clean. Edward is also a great cook and we ate supper and breakfast in his restaurant which has tables and chairs made out of repurposed items. He uses local suppliers for fresh tasty food. His enthusiasm and conversation made for an enjoyable stay
