Latest Check-Ins

Stayed last night in Silverado with topper. Very nice but mainly because we were the only campers. The walk-in sites looked great and aren't far from the parking. The two pull in sites are right next to each other and depending on the neighbor, might not be fun. 5/5 for non-busy season. We picked up a good bag of trash. I couldn't find a good motor vehicle map but the DNR posts the following directions. Use your odometer miles so you don't take an early left, map apps may not be right.
Directions: Start at milepost 3 on SR-4. Go north on C-Line Road; take the left fork at Naselle Youth Camp entrance for 2.9 miles. Turn left on C-2600 Road (gravel, one lane) for .6 miles. Turn right on C-2620; the camp is at the end of the road.

Nice little campground! Google maps took us up C-2000 road which is faster but is pretty steep, rocky, and one-lane. It was a bit tough for our rwd van but we made it. we came down C-4000 road which is a much more standard service road and I would recommend it for anyone with 2wd despite the extra few minutes of driving.

Walked up to this site from Western Lake below. Snag Lake is ascetically a much nicer site than Western Lake down below. Approach road has some mild washboard but is otherwise we’ll maintained and driveable in 2WD.

Really pretty campground with only a few spots and a pit toilet. Watched a hawk and eagle fishing in the lake. The trees are very dense so we ended up leaving the next day up the road to get some solar and found another incredible spot. Plenty of places to camp in this area. A quick trip to Astoria for fish and chips; Long Beach and willapa bay are a short drive also.

Really beautiful spot. A bit frightening to drive in a 2WD, someone experienced definitely required. A very muddy bathroom, but not terrible. Loud offroaders, but they were gone by nighttime. Only 2-3 spots for van camping, but you can stealth camp in the parking section, or walk around the length for about 6+ more campsites. A gorgeous, foggy morning made it all worth it. P. S. C-Line road ends at the "fork" on google maps with C-Line & C-4000, not sure why a route is shown there, use C-4000 or the Northern C-2000 entrance to access.

Great spot! Made it up here in a 2wd truck easily. 3 bars Verizon, and only one other rig up here. Quite as heck and tons of fire pits and tent sites! Help keep this place clean though. (Picked up a sizable amount of trash another camper had left)

Awesome spot near snag lake. Numerous walk in tent sites and two car camping sites. Looks like it was logging land at one point based on the modest size of the live trees and the massive stumps scattered around the area

Nice when no-one is here. There are two sites for motorhome / van, but they are right next to each other. Last night, 2AM, some people came, talking, setting up their tent, slamming their car doors for half an hour... They are camped on the boat ramp. Good luck if a fisherman comes.

I got here on Thursday. It was empty and beautiful. The lake is gorgeous. I picked up a lot of trash. Now, there are cigarette butts on the trail, dog poop, etc. I'm leaving, but I don't know where I'm going... Weekends are no good.

Arrived on a Tuesday and we’re the only people here all night. Only two designated drive-in sites and the rest are for walk-in/tenting. When driving in the sites are to your right and the clear area on the left is PARKING! It’s dope that this place is free, but there is a lot of garbage at the campsites. Take some with you when you leave. Pit toilets available. Good cell service on ATT.

Stayed for 5 days at one of the drive-in sites. Disappointed by people’s general disregard for etiquette: huge camper took up the entire parking lot and tent campers had to park their cars precariously along the edge, another day a huge group set up a tent camp in the same parking lot and built a fire ring, another gigantic rv parked blocking access to the bridge and path and ran their generator from 8a-10p, one guy seems to have left his 5th wheeler permanently in one of the drive-in sites and comes by periodically to spend the night, and people seem generally unconcerned about littering the woods with toilet paper and beer cans. Got tired of picking up other people’s garbage :( Otherwise... beautiful spot? Fun paddle boarding on the lake and beautiful trails and woods nearby. One path up is much steeper and more slippery. Watch for packs of giant trucks speeding downhill and running you off the road while you should have the right-of-way going uphill.

Visited but was full. Very popular on weekends with fishermen. All info correct. Went to the other lake 1 mi away.

This is a beautiful campground right on a lake. There are only 2 sites that you can park at but several others that you can walk a short distance to. There is also a large parking area. Road is very steep as mentioned. We we’re here in June and there were several campers. Zero road noise. Bathrooms are clean and there was very little trash in the campsites.
