Beautiful flat plain amidst red rock mountains and buttes. Multiple BLM spots with metal fire rings, but not much else. Lots of spots to pull over along a gravel, washboarded road. We drove slowly, but others flew by. No light pollution despite the town of Virgin being close by. Great for star viewing. Nice spot for a few nights, not too far from Zion, four hours from The Grand Canyon's North Rim. No generators please.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Most epic view of Zion and surrounding areas, was almost going to go to a different site but drove past the turnoff and saw the view so I had to turn around and come back. Wide open sites with metal fire pits, not much for shade if you need that. Soooooo windy, not sure if it’s like this every night but not able to make a fire because so windy.
Report Check-InBLM with many designated free site you should stay only in the designated area fire ring. Perfect for any type of véhicule flat area on top of a plateau 500m from the main road very good view 360°
Report Check-InHuge BLM with plenty of leveled camping spots/fire pit! Nice view on the mountains! Good cell coverage ! It was super windy when we were there so we could not enjoy the view as we needed to stay inside! Plenty of MTB trails around! We will be back after Zion National Park!
Report Check-Inthis is a large area, but the roads end has ruts a foot deep. You have to ride up on the middle part and the side of the road to get in there without dragging. I left as there was rain coming and I would not trust that road to get out of there. Great biking trails for dirt bikes, with markers so you don't get lost. There were ATVs and motorcycles as well. I'm not sure how they got them in, but there were a lot of huge fifth wheels. It was just too many people for me.
Report Check-InBeautiful high mesa. Entry road very washboard. Roads to sites deeply rutted. Go slowly. Very popular so all sites pretty full. A camper let us share his large site. No fee. Stay in designated numbered spots only
Report Check-InAwesome spot. About 50 designated campsites, some easier to reach than others, with lots of space and fire rings. Camp only in designated spots. 5 minutes from Hurricane, 30 minutes from Zion NP entrance.
Report Check-InMany beautiful camping spots to choose from but no shade so would not come in the summer. Mountain biking trails are all over this area ranging from easy to moderate. No pit toilets.
Report Check-InI’m not at the exact spot marked, but as the original poster mentioned there’s plenty of spaces here. Beautiful views. Small fire pits at some sites but no firewood nearby to gather (bring your own if you’re going to do a fire).
Not really any hiking trails nearby but I wish I had a mountain bike with me. Will prob only stay one day then head to Zion tomorrow.
Report Check-InGreat views, lots of sites and pretty easy to find in the dark. It's not true dispersed camping, you need to be in the marked sites, but there are lots and they're very spread out.
Report Check-InStill lots of heavily used camping out here. The BLM has made designated spots, in December it was a little muddy, not bad but you could tell these sites could be super muddy to get too. Poor camping etiquette out this way, some trash, some human poop etc. Not the worst I have seen, but still not great.
Report Check-Inárea de camping , son varias pequeñas zonas en las que puedes acampar, llegamos a dormir unas horas
Report Check-InAwesome place and plenty of spaces...great Verizon service. Beautiful and breathtaking views.
Report Check-InDesignated spots nicely spaced apart. 15 day limit. Nice views and close to Zion. Five bars of AT&T.
