Description

Nice, quiet, beautiful surroundings with nice views. Inside a working coffee plantation. Watch for sign on hwy 29.
Space for maybe 15 rigs on level lawns. All the facilities you need - swimming pool, restaurant, power, water, toilets and showers. Attentive staff. Internet is variable and rarely fast. Possible to tour the farm for 35,000COP/pers (2-3h). Camping 25’000pp per night. Laundry can be done but is charged by the item so likely quite expensive.

the place was close. I don't know if is permanent but dont give me service and wasn't friendly

Report Check-In

No me dejaron entrar ni para poder salir de frente ya que el camino es muy angosto. Fue muy difícil poder salir. Se le agradece a los dueños su falta de colaboración. No recomiendo este lu
ar.

Report Check-In

I didn’t fully understand, but we were sent away also. Something about how they don’t have bathrooms we could use. Maybe you usually use a room’s washroom, but they were fully booked? I didn’t see anybody else though, so I’m not sure. Too bad because it looked really nice!

Report Check-In

Due to maintanace work the farm was closed today and we were sent away with our bus. You better check before driving there. The path between street and farm is so narrow that we almost couldn' t make it with our 7m bus. The lovely owner cleared the way for us on the way back to the road.

Report Check-In

Lovely place. Moderate temperatures. Quit at night. 25.000$/ppn

We took a coffee-tour. Walking & picking and education ☺ 45.000$/ppn (2,5 h)

Report Check-In

Beautiful coffee farm.
The coffee tour was very educational and fun, great lunch. Time and money spent very well.

Report Check-In

It is a beautiful place. The coffee tour was very interesting, even though we do not drink much coffee.
We paid 25.000 COP/person/night and Jorge wanted now 45.000 COP/person for the tour, but we told him that we read about 40.000 COP/person and he agreed.
The road ist tight, but doable for our 7,25 m long rig. But be careful with one roof if your rig is higher than 3,60 m. If it is wet you maybe need 4x4 with a RV wider than a car.

Report Check-In

Nice place BUT very expensive for what you get. 25.000 pp per night - showers are cold and not really nice. Toilet paper is rarely provided. Jorge the owner has for sure a preference for guests staying in the room and not for overlanders. Only place we saw in Columbia where they charge per item if you want to wash your laundry ...4.000 per T-Shirt. Way to the finca is quite norrow - be careful if you have a car longer than 7 meters.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

The farm is absolutely beautiful, food excellent , salad, trout, dessert, glass of Chilean red wine, 25000.
I stayed two nights but felt that the camping infrastructure is sadly missing: 1 toilette and cold shower, no facilities for washing or washing up, no dustbin. 25000 is definitely too much - but the surroundings are stunning. With a little investment this could be a magnificent campsite.

Report Check-In

I emailed ahead and they confirmed that no tent camping permitted, vans only! Stayed at Hostal Hacienda 10km further north.

Report Check-In

Great finca and good spot to learn more about coffee. Food is great, the hosts are welcoming, ok toilet, cold showers.
The coffee tour with the lunch included it’s really worth it although it’s a bit expensive. Very insightful and comprehensive.
Not a cheap camping fee and coffee tour, but it is value for money.

Report Check-In

A nice and peaceful place :) with very helfpul and friendly owners!
Price for camping: 25‘000pp (clean toilet, cold shower, wifi, electricity). In the restaurant they serve menus (25‘000pp - starter, main dish, desert and beer or wine) - the food is really good and tasty!
The coffee-tour is excellent! (35‘000 spanish / 40‘000 english) - tooks about 2-3 hours. You get a lot of very interesting information.

Report Check-In

The coffee tour was excellent - informative yet still fun. Makes you realise how little you know about the stuff you've drunk gallons of!

Tour is 40k pp, which is decent value for 2-3 hours and a great tasting experience. They also do a lunch included for 60k total (5k discount).

Camping is gorgeous - a spacious lawn with a few scattered buildings. Altitude of 1,500 means a great climate (not just for coffee). At 25k pp it's a little expensive for us, but with the lovely grounds and pool it's not bad value for money either.

Report Check-In

The place is beautiful and popular. The 50000 price tag though is a bit much for what is included. Recommended only if there is no other option.

Report Check-In

everything right what was written before. as they charge full price even for small children we had to pay 100000.-cop/night. no breakfast included no worme shower. most expensive place we had so far. and we never had to pay for the four years old child. even in hotels not.

Report Check-In

Fantastic Place, great food and friendly people!
The coffee tour was excellent.

Report Check-In

We payed 25000 pesos per people per night for camping and 40000 pesos per people for the coffee tour. We could park for 2 nights on the flat grassy area beside the cabanas what was really nice. We could use the big covered space beside vor our chairs and table to not get wet by rain. The restroom and shower (cold) were clean. We eat dinner in the restaurant twice. Food was really good (try the trout!). The coffee tour was amazing and we learned a lot. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Yes, the place is not cheep but we loved it a lot.

Report Check-In

they charge 25'000 for a night per person. so we just had the coffeetour...wich was about 4 hours and really worth it!!! the best tour we have ever had!!! nice place to visit!!

Report Check-In

We loved it here.. June 2017. Only rom for 3 or 4 rigs now due to a bit of accommodation building. The tour was extremely informative, the owners and staff friendly and professional. Lunch in the restaurant fresh and tasty.
The surrounding countryside is magnificent. Coffee , bananas, plantains, giant bamboo, beans.
The turnoff to the plantation is difficult to see if you are coming from the north as the sign is obscured.

Report Check-In

No tent camping available, we hauled our bikes up here after a long day to be told we could only camp if we were in a vehicle. Rooms were 70k per person so we left.
It's beautiful but not for bike tourers.

Report Check-In

They have raised their prices to now 25k per person per night. They have also put additional structures on the property. There is now another cabin in the area that was for camping, so if the cabin is occupied, you now have to camp down below by the staff housings. There is still power available, but the wifi doesn't reach even with a booster and there is no water connection down there either. The space itself is flat and can hold 3-4 rigs if people are smart in how they park. The bathroom for campers is now by the large billiard hall/ parking structure and it's cold water only and far away from the new camping area. The coffee tour is GREAT and informative. Definitely work it to do it and the reason to stay here! But honestly for $50k per night for two people in the new camping area, I would say it's smarter to stay somewhere else and just come for the tour. Big rigs beware In the rainy season as the lower camping area is down a steep incline and if it's rainy it will be soft down there. Easy to get stuck.

Report Check-In

20k COP pppn. Extremely friendly and an excellent coffee tour.

Report Check-In

Very beautiful spot! Clean and nice facilities. A bit overpriced (40.000 for 2 persons) and no place to wash dishes.

Report Check-In

Beautiful place! There's a restaurant on route 29 named Fonda Guayabal. There you have to turn! It's right that the route is narrow and steep, but we could do it with our 25 feet trailer! So it's easy. The finca is beautiful and the coffee tour with Felipe was GREAT! 20,000 pp per night and 30,000 the tour in spanish (35,000 in english). 20,000 for an amazing lunch.

Report Check-In

I would divide the experience into two themes: Coffeetour and Camping experience:
1:Coffeetour: absolut recommandable! Best tour ever, no hurry, super explanations, also the coffee testing after the tour was great !!!!
absolut must do ! That is the reason why you should stay here !!
little remark: the english Tour is 35.000 p.P not 30.000.-
2: Camping experience: Not bad, but standard for 20.000p.P. Definitly NO warm/hot shower, we asked twice..... There is hmmm max. space for two to three Campervans or two bigger trucks , if you wan't to sleep leveled. You park next to a Billardshelter, in front of a rentable Cabana. The toilet is clean, but basic.
It seems to be the Nightguards toilet....Cold shower inside. The village next to has a "dogbarking" problem....so it is quiet....but you here dogbarking almost the whole night! The Internet is not worth too use....so bad....but good claro 3G covered.
3: we went to chichina to get same stuff, and the most interesting thing for me was the local Taxiplace with 50 old willis jeep parking in a row....amazing picture...unfortunatly the drivers seem to be unfriendly to tourists....they refused us to take solo pictures from there Jeeps....and don't look really glad about seeing "Tourists".....

Report Check-In

Awesome and quiet place! Lost in the middle of coffee and other trees, this is the perfect spot if you want to relax.Jorge and his mother are perfect host and Felipe is a fantastic guide for the coffee tour (so worth it!)Don't miss it! We could park and sleep in our van for 20000COP/night/pers. water, shower, toilet, wifi and electricity available on site

Report Check-In

We had a wonderful and relaxing time here and stayed a bit longer than expected. The coffee tour with Felipe is great, he speaks very clear Spanish and good English too. We paid 20.000 pp per night to camp and 30.000 pp for the tour. The staff was really nice and always prepared to advise. They even installed a tv for us to watch the footbal game. Hummungbirds and other everywhere, nice pool, all was perfect to relax. Only downside is shower for campers is only cold water.

Report Check-In

Fantastic family run place to stay and take a very interesting tour of the working coffee farm. Meals can be taken in the main house and the food is excellent - all cooked by the madre of the family. Jorge and his sister were very helpful in finding out transportation information for us. Wifi is a bit variable but mostly okay. Signpost for the farm is a bit faded and takes you down a narrow one vehicle width road through some dwellings and then up a dirt track.

Report Check-In

We didn't stay there (we couldn't make it up to the finca with our rig - there was a market in the small village and there are low hanging wires, which made the way up for us unpassable). We only did the coffee tour, but we can highly recommend it!

Report Check-In

Not really aimed at campers. Big shelter area for big events. Bathroom at campground was not great, those in hotel are better. Nice option if you want to do a coffee tour.

Report Check-In

We stayed both here art at Hacienda Venecia, doing coffee tours in both locations. We enjoyed both, but have to say that Finca Guayabal was by far our favourite. The owners and staff are all incredibly friendly and really passionate about producing quality coffee. We found the tour here far more informative than the tour at Hacienda Venecia (and the coffee was nicer!). The lower bathroom is open now, so cold showers only, but I suspect if you asked there may still be warm showers available in the restaurant. We didn't ask.

Report Check-In

Done with 7meters RV. Not easy but ok.
Price is 20k cop Pp. So, really expensive for family 5 peoples (finaly paid 80k)... Servicies aren't better than in others areas where we paid 20k per car...

But coffee tour is really at the top. Absolutly recommended. 3h for 30k pp. 15k for child less than 10y. see tripadvisor or other for details. Really good.

Restaurant is 25k pp. Good (especialy coffee sauce). Not cheap but right price for touristic area.

Hotel is 130k per 2 peoples. + 65k pp added. We find sames rooms at 35k in others areas in Colombia... It depend what u're looking for. Nice place, tripadvisor winner... so not the same price... U could go in the swimming pool, read nice books about birds of local area, play games, use wifi, see a lot of birds...

And owner really friendly.

Report Check-In

Great place. Worth the price. Recommended. I made it with a 12.000kg 4x4 Truck - so yes, it is Big Rig friendly *haha*

Report Check-In

Stayed here one night and also did the tour. Great place, friendly owner and fantastic view. Do try the climb up the hill up to run down buildings ..views will make up for hard work. Paid 40,000 cop for two people in a RV, hot shower next to restaurant as down were out of order. Clean toilets you can use till 9ish. Electricity from the shed. Drive from main road okay..yes little steep n narrow but nothing too bad. We made it fine with 20ft Long, 13 ft high, 7 feet wide with few feet to spare. There is no need to cross any river etc we were misguided by a local to take narrow miserable road but luckily a car driver corrected immediately. Few dogs on property but seemed well behaved. Parrots r Super lovely..they talk ;) you see beautiful birds eating bananas.

Report Check-In

We arrived at Finca Guayabal. But the staff told us thst new the price for camping is 40'000 peso for two persons. Therefore we didn,t stay there.

The place is just beautiful. Excellent coffee tour, excellent restaurant. Many birds around. We liked especially the emerald tucans.

Just updating some of the info

Report Check-In

A really nice and peaceful place to stay and relax! The coffee tour was for as amazing, we learned a lot about it!😉 The people (it's a familiy management) are very friendly... The only "bad" thing is, that the wifi is very slow and definetly not fast! The price are at the moment 30000 per night and we had water, electricity and hot shower at the Restaurant/Hotel area.

Report Check-In

paid 30,000 cop per night. lower shower was out of service.

Report Check-In

Great place to stop. Loved the pool. We didn't do the tour, but they kept asking us to do it :) we probably should have, but we were too relaxed. the hike to the top of the cliff is a must.

A really nice place to spend a couple of days and for us an absolute must in Colombia.

Lovely hacienda with loads of space, great coffee and friendly staff. The tour around me hacienda was really interesting and enjoyable and the coffe great.

Very beautiful finca with grassy spot to camp. Owner Jorge and his mother are very friendly and helpful. Great staff. They are busy with coffee tours during the day but the place is nice and quiet at night. There is a guard patrolling the property at night. Meals are available. Dinner is $20,000 per person including beer or wine, main and dessert. Not sure how much lunch and breakfast are. Good wifi. We paid $25,000 pesos total to camp.
