Description

The owners of the Auberge Sahara have set up this new place in the spirit of the old one (which retained only the name). Great hotel with very friendly staff (good English) and a few other overlanders. Good facilities and wifi, and great food available.

spend there a night in our Van. Safe and frendly place where you can feel free. We talkt to the on off the owner where we can get some sandsheets, so they say ok lets by some. After 5 hours off searching and traiding we found some for a realy good price. What a nice guy

Stayed there in May 2022, the place is ok. BUT BE CAREFULL! A guy who seems to work there try to scam hosts about border passage to Senegal. He tried to convice me that Diama border was closed and that I had to go to Rosso where I would be stucked without his "help"!. Of course I passed by Diama by myself the day after without any problem. I heard him proposing the same service to german 4x4 travellers for 250$ by car! I ban this place!

Nice clean hostel with very friendly and helpful staff. Zakaria is the best! He took cake of our cat when we went to Chinguetti for a few days and helped to find a vet/ make phone calls. Hot showers, ok Internet, washing machine.

*If you are camping, watch out for your stuff. One night we had a guy jump the wall from with the neighboring house and try to steal from our car while we were sleeping.

Update prices, double room with private bathroom was 1500 Ouguiya and double room with shared bathroom 900 Ouguiya. Use of kitchen. Parking inside for motorcycles no problem also for 2 to 3 small to medium campers.

We camp in their parking that fits another 4 4x4 max. Good place and very helpful people. All facilities are functioning well except some water cuts during the day but they told us that it was temporary. We paid 500 for two people and the car.

Big room for two with ac and
enormous bathroom is 1400 or 35 euros

Zakaria is the best host! He took us to buy a sim, he prepared local tea and we just chilled with him. There is place for maximum 2 cars on their parking lot, which is nicely decorated. You can use facilities (even kitchen) inside. Only downside is some noise from the mosque on the square.

Report Check-In

300 Ouguiya per Night in the dorm, toilets/showers fine and helpful staff

Accueil sympathique. à 200 m en arrière du Sahara. On peut dormir dans la voiture.
