Go to the border Colombia Bridge...nearly no traffic and easy access for everything...also getting a TIP or TIP refund! Highly recommended...Everything and everybody is so much more relaxed! Entered Texas here, while in Nuevo Laredo they were standing in a traffic jam for ages.

Make sure all your documents are printed out, as it costs 6$ per page if you email a missing document. We breezed through no problem on an early friday. We have a commercial vehicle owned by our company and had to write an authorization for import to Mexico. Was not a problem but heads up. A police escort is offered to guide you to autopista 85, which we took

Went there to cancel FMM visa and vehicle importation permit. Easy and fast process. Then crossed the border at the "puente international". They asked a lot of questions about why I was traveling, where I was going and so on, but they didn't even ask to see my driver license or vaccination card or PCR. They just want to make sure that you are not going to the US to find work and don't seem to care about anything else.

Went there to cancel my FMM visa and vehicle importation permit. Easy and fast process.

Then went to the "international bridge", which is the eastern one (don't go to the wrong bridge).

I crossed without any issues. They asked a lot of questions about why I was traveling and where I was going, but did not even ask to see my driver license, vaccination card, or PCR test.

Description and location were accurate. Very smooth and easy. Had my two exit TIPs handled in about 15 minutes on a Monday at lunchtime.

EXIT MEXICO — Go to Gov’t CETIIV building under Bridge 2. We were told the building is open 24hrs.

First go inside building to cancel immigration. No fees. There are several money exchange places inside building and bathrooms upstairs. Also tons of helpful employees hanging around to direct you if you have any questions.

Next drive vehicle to obvious Banjerito line along front side of building to cancel vehicle pass. They will hand you a receipt with refund amount that will be credited back to credit card.

The whole process took us less than 30 minutes on a Thursday afternoon.

To check out of Mexico, go inside with your passports to the far left side of the building. (Only 1 person needs to go, others can stay with the rig, in line if it's long). They will check that you paid your 390 peso entry fee; if you didn't, go to the Banjercito at the other end of the building; credit cards accepted. There's a kiosk outside on the west end of the big building in the parking lot where you turn in your paperwork and get your import permit cancelled and deposit refunded. There are no signs indicating this. We arrived at 3pm on a Monday in July and the line in the brutally hot sun in the black asphalt parking lot spilled out onto the road.
