Mod note May not allow camping
A fantastic place to camp above Otavalo, it's hard to beat the view. There are indoor and outdoor common areas, and a place to have a campfire and grill. The kitchen is open for breakfast and dinner upon request, but is not available for use by guests. A variety of cabins and rooms can also be reserved if you don't want to camp. See website for directions.

Beautiful, beautiful place. we didn't camp there. $12 for a bed in a dorm, there are various sleeping options (check hostelword or their page). Stunning views, great location close to Otavalo and Lagos de Mojanda (they can arrange a taxi to take you up there for a hike up Fuya Fuya if you don't want to leave your car up there unattended). Lovely!
Report Check-InCharming place with 360 views. A great jumping off point for visiting nearby volcanoes and waterfalls. The famed Otavalo is a short taxi ride away and worth seing!!! Hosteria Rose Cottage is comfortable, clean and its staff so friendly and accommodating. It is a family owned place with many choices for accommodations from a beautiful private cottage to a dorm. Safe locked parking for cars, Westfalia types and motorcycles.
Report Check-InNice place with beautiful view, they let you park in the parking lot and you can sleep in your vehicule for $ 15.-. Friendly host, hot shower.
Report Check-InMy favorite parts of this place are: peace & quiet, comfortable bed, and beautiful scenery. It's about 3 KM from Otavalo, up a cobblestone road. It has secure parking for motorcycles and good food. We paid $35 for double with shared bathroom and breakfast included. Www.rosecottageecuador.com

Report Check-InRose, or whatever is her name, is the unfriendliest person that we ever have met in Southamerica. She really seams not to like campers as she chased us out while she was crying on us: “ THIS IS NO MORE A CAMPGROUND, GO OUT, GO, GO!“ This happend after another women show us the camping spot to settle down whith our vancamper, what we did, and half an our later came the owner and as soon as she saw us, she went for us and chased us away. So we can not recommend this place, best you keep as far away from this loony bin as you can.
Report Check-InWe came here because our friends called us over. Nice view but barely any space and the owner isn't very welcoming to car travelers. She prefers to focus on the people that "pay a LOT of money" as she put it. Car camping was $12 for two people. Dorms are $14 and rooms $80 or $90. Camping up at the lagoon isn't too far away and it's gorgeous and free.
Report Check-InAmazing views (including the snow caps on Vulcan Cotopaxi)! Paid $6 per adult and $3 for our 5 year old son to camp in our van. Showers and toilets are available and ok wifi.
Report Check-In- 5USD per person
- tiny shower, but with HOT water
- wifi
- nice views
- small parking, would be a tight fit for extra large vehicles, but vans/pickup truck campers ok
