Description

18,000 per night per two people one room downstairs. Secure motorcycle and vehicle parking. Motos inside building in an unused congregation hall. Tricky to find and not signed at entrance. To get here: as you pull into small road that leads to cathedral in front of you will be a pay parking lot, don't go here. To your left is a thin, cobbled downhill road likely with a chain across it. Chain not locked and you are permitted to drop chain and drive down road just put chain back. About 80-100 meters down road turn left and drive past the ball court, this will seem weird but is ok. The hotel is large white building with black bars on all windows. Drive through gate and park. To enter building ring bell to get service. It looks menacing from outside but lovely with courtyard garden on the inside. Rooms are small but clean and lots of hot water in sink and shower.

Now $20.000 COP per night, but we slept in the Bus. WiFi password is [Password removed by Moderator.] and park close enough to the building and you may get connected. Stayed for 2 nights.

Report Check-In

Very nice place, but there was no vacancy as there was an event, however We were allowed to park inside heir gated garage for the night. No services were provided, as they said we could use the restroom by the reception, but it got closed after 9.

Report Check-In

Really good spot for cyclist/motorcyclists especially. Cheap (20000 per bed), confortable, clean, lots of room for the bikes inside.

Report Check-In

Agree with everything already said. 20,000 for a double room, not a bad size and really nice atmosphere in the place. Friendly staff, pretty courtyard and great view of the church and waterfall just outside. Perfect place to sit and have breakfast and lunch! Very safe and although you’re so close to town it’s so quiet and peaceful here. They have a room inside to put your bikes and moto too. Also has WiFi that works alright and can use the kitchen. Would happily stay here again!

Why is it everytime we stay at a place it works out different to all the previous comments
We were travelling 2 up, great secure parking for moto. They were nearly full so scored a single room for 15000, so the lucky one slept on the floor as the bed was very short!!. No roosters.....but the guy upstairs snored like a chainsaw all night then decided to get up at 4am and stomp around. We must have been here in the middle of something because then at 5am a person went round chanting and knocking on all the doors to get people up....we must of been the only non- religious people here
Anyway a great intro to Columbia and overall a great experience

Nice little place by Las Lajas sanctuary. 20,000 for double room with private bathroom. We were able to keep our bicycles inside so they were secure. Showers are hot if you have minimal water coming out. Easier to find than the instructions imply.

Report Check-In

A relatively peaceful setting, though still plenty of dogs barking, roosters crowing, brakes squealing, etc. $20000 a night and let us use kitchen. Pro tip: toilets in bathrooms don't have seats but one by the entrance does. Freezing cold shower.

Report Check-In

We got here sunday at night and it was full. So we asked if we could sleep in or car. We have a rooftop tent.

They said OK and charged us 5000 COP. There is a clean bathroom with TP, seat and soap. Unfortunately, no shower.

It was quiet (just the sound of the waterfall!) and safe.

Great view of the church Las Lajas and a waterfall. Quiet and as had been said before a little weird to get to a you have to ride through a basketball court. 20,000cop for a double room with private bathroom. Rooms can be quite small although we had one in the corner which was a little bigger. Hot showers, nice surroundings and secure parking for motorbikes.

Report Check-In

Great option to spend the night. We quite liked the "monastery" atmosphere. The rooms basic and a bit chilly but there are enough blankets on the bed to keep you warm. The hot shower worked well. Our favourite part was that it was absolutely quiet at night, no dogs barking, no music, no road noise, no fireworks and no 4 am rooster wake up calls! Friendly staff and nice inner courtyard.

Thanks for the direction. The official price is 18.000 (on the paper of the hotel), so don't pay 20.000!
Really basic, but good, and nice staff. We could cook and eat in the kitchen of the restaurant. 5min walk to the cathedral.

Report Check-In

It is really good location and cheap hotel. You can walk easily to cathedral. Hotel is old, room is too small and basic but double room is only 18K peso per night , It is okay for one night. There is a nice and small garden inside and outside. Also you can sit outside and watch the cathedral :) We parked our two motorcycles inside the building. She said first 20K pp but we showed iOverlander and got a discount and paid 18K. :)

very nice and tranquil place. very basic but clean, friendly and extremely peaceful. could have stayed longer. easy walk to sanctuary. ideal for motos. can park inside. cars and suv ok but access road to small for big rigs. recommend.

Amazing views. Best in town. walk easily to the Santuario. basic clean rooms but what do you expect for the price? And you're in the middle of town. Pet friendly.

Follow instructions below to get to the hotel. Cones and chain will be moved when you ask. We camped in our van for 10000 and had use of lobby toilet.

The name is 'Casa Pastoral La Lajas' instructions as below except we got here at 3 pm and the road was coned off because the car park was full, we drove past and the car park attendant moved the chain for us. Paid 15,000 each, sheets clean but beds very hard and the place is very basic to grim. There is a big restaurant but no food and there are only grim restaurants in the town and they closed at 7pm. We only stayed as it was raining when we arrived and did not want to pack the roof tent up wet in the morning. Church is worth the detour.
