Something not right?

Description

Tired of stairs in Tikal or the bustle of Flores? This place is quiet, slow and relaxing. An Eco hotel with spots for camping. Close to Las Conchas waterfalls (10 minute drive), 50q per person per night. Eco out-houses, showers, kitchen. You can swim in the river that goes through the property. We came for 1 night and stayed 2. Felipe will also guide tours if you want.

We had a great time here. No fuss at all. Paid 60 per person. Parked in front of the house and used the kitchen. We only spent one night, but could easily have spend days here.

Maybe not suitable for big rigs though, bit narrow and steep to get there.

Report Check-In

Came to this place because of a recommendation by another lodge, showed up and the owner Phil and wife. First, he tried to overcharge us for a place to camp, then when we needed help to get our car to a mechanic, guy not helpful. Had a truck but wouldn’t give us a tow and then in the morning keep asking when we were going to get it fixed and leave. We only stayed one day, avoid this place at all cost. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

Came here on recommendation. Nice place with (semi) level ground for camping. The owners were kind and our children got to play with their daughter. Lots is jumping in the swirling pools. It’s a good spot to rest and enjoy the river.

We tried to stay here, but no one was home. The neighbors said they had to run to the capital city. It was getting late so we had to throw in the towel. We were upset as the property was right on the water, so well kept and peaceful!

Still open, but we just got unlucky.

Very nice place with great hosts and awesome swimming. I am not sure if big rigs will make the turn into the property. Wanted 75 pP per person now. No wifi and not so good edge reception.

Price for camping increased to 75Q per person with no discounts for kids, making this the most expensive campground we've stayed at - ever.. By the time we got to the bottom of the steep narrow road, we really weren't staying anywhere else though. The other option is the nearby parking lot of the Balneario Las Canchas for 75Q flat rate. That said, it is a very nice place with a great common area and Felipe is a good host. His wife cooks vegetarian food but they prefer to have some notice as they're quite remote and will stock up for guests. Swimming in the river is beautiful and the sky from here is gorgeous.
