Just south of the town of San Felipe is a large marina/coast guard facility. We pulled in and stayed to the left of the break water. The beach is wide and the sand is firm. Lots of broken glass and locals hanging out, but no problems and we felt safe. There is an armed security officer guarding the boats at the marina, which made us feel assured that no one was going to come down and cause trouble. He said nothing to us. People drive up and down the beach selling Pina coladas and margaritas. The view is pretty and you can see the lights of San Felipe when the sun goes down. This isn't a super beautiful spot, but if you want a pretty quiet spot for a few nights in San Felipe, it'll do! There's lots of space if you WANT to pitch a tent, but I wouldn't want to sleep in a tent here.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
park on the hardpacked sand beach on the left off the marina break is all fine. it has been cleared of basura but as we know in Mexico its an endless issue.
Report Check-Init will be close after 8pm and police take you out by civic restrictions
Report Check-InStayed here 1 night with some friends.
Pretty views.
Very open and difficult to find a place to do your business if you don’t have a toilet on board.
Some locals came by with blaring music and left trash/glass bottles 😒 , also Someone selling piña coladas for 130mxn .We didn’t buy so have no input on the taste.
Otherwise it was an easy spot.
Keep it clean and leave no trace please!
Report Check-InIt's basically a gravel lot above the beach so any vehicle can come here easily, I'm an extra heavy van and we saw a skoolie here too. The reason they said it's not the best view is probably just the trash on the beach, but other than that it is gorgeous! there were quite a few locals coming in and out of here for a Thursday and some set off fireworks but maybe it was just cause it was Valentine's Eve? The noise died down later on.
Report Check-Incalm night :)
some cars and fishers during the day. lots of dogs but all of them really friendly.
Súper safe and nobody bothered me. Very quiet location, dogs had fun running on the beach. Slept in my car and was the only one here. No services obviously it’s just a dirt lot.
Report Check-InWe slept here one night, nothing special to mention. It was ok. Some unfriendly dogs around but we stayed mostly in the van.
