The park, Rio Pilcomayo, at the Laguna Blanca site, is CLOSED !!!
Yesterday we went to the other point in the park, Estero Poi. But there where no animals, no birds. Not around campground and not at the river.
In the morning at 7 am the parkrangers started to mow around our car, grass, sand, stones and wood jumped up against our car.
It felt they chase not only animals but also tourist away.
And, they told nothing about that this part of the parque is closed!
When we arrived here, the rangers drove just away. They waved, but did not stop us to tell the park is totally closed. ???
Here they gonna build new roads. So don't know for how long it will be closed.
So check before you drive up!!!
we stayed several days near the park ranger's office where there was only one other motorhome. there is a place to park, there are grills, a beautiful place with trails, and a beautiful beach to watch the sunset. there are bathrooms but no shower. the park rangers were very nice and helpful all the time.
Gratis. Los comentarios anteriores son correctos. Underrated y sin mucha gente.
Report Check-InCamped here for one night (free). If you want to stay you have to register with the guarda parque (park ranger). Very nice and helpful park ranger. We were the only ones staying here (september), very quiet at night. Beautiful lagoon. Also saw a howler monkey family.
Camping area with tables and bbqs. Clean toilets. Water at tap next to the bathrooms is not portable but we asked the park ranger for drinking water and he allowed us to fill our bottles in their kitchen.
Very nice location just beside laguna blanca. Toilets clean. If you ask there are cold showers in the park infofmation.
Cool sunset!!
Rrhhhhaaaaaaa Lovely....

We can't go in the park because there is to much mud for car or motorhome.
But we can sleep just at the entrance there is place for one or two truck.

I have make paddle on the laguna....it was a si great moment. ..
If you have a kayak you must do it....
There is some "caïman" and "piranhas" but they are cool..!!!!
Rangers are good guys..
And for the sunset...take a beer with peanuts and goes on the bridge on the laguna....you 'll never forget this moment...
Enjoy this place..
Yes, a very nice Natural Reserve and campground. Watch the entrace sign area acampar. Some poeples at the weekend but during the week nobody is there. The rangerin and the ranger are nice. Better than we expected and all ist for free, good for some days but bring everything with you.
Report Check-InBeautiful and quiet place where we stayed one night; we arrived at the end of the afternoon and could watch the sunset on the laguna. We even saw a caïman resting on the border! There is a toilet and running water. It's a good free spot.
Report Check-Inthe camp area was very wet, so we stayed before the gate; many moskitos from dust to dawn; birds watching from the board walk but no crocodiles at 7:30 in the morning; free, quiet and safe; the road has some muddy parts but was driveable; the Ranger said, that the other camp area is not reachable for some days due to the heavy rain;
Report Check-InNice and quiet, stayed, just 1 Night. Park Ranger speaks a little bit english.
Nice walk to the lake. We have seen some different animals, just beautifull.
Somehow we got the idea that the place was far away from civilisation. It's not. People living nearby. Some barking dogs now and then. But very laid back and relaxed. We stayed for several days. Indeed a lot of birds. No shower. You could take a bath in the lake though, but it's forbidden to feed the piranhas.
Report Check-InThis place is v quiet. Nb we couldn't find any evidence of a shower here anymore - just to warn you!
