Beautiful spot in a low area, surrounded by Hoodoo's.

Beautiful spot. Quiet. Not many people.
If you find the trail in the south west “valley” it’ll lead you to the top of the ridge and there are a few mine shafts to explore. One is labeled hole in the rock and it goes into mountain a fair way.
It also gives you a beautiful view of Recapture Pocket.
Awesome views, totally quiet. Amazing Hoodoo’s.
Low clearance vehicles may want to avoid this if it’s wet.
Amazing place surrounded by hoodoos. Getting to the overlook requires high clearance, 4x4 helps getting thru the sand.
Cell service varies from no service to 3 bars
Motorcycle camping, didn't appreciate the sporadic sand spots on the road that made the approx 3 mile dirt ride in a little sporty. Camping spot is perfect with hoodoos to provide shade and privacy/separation. I was the only one there so no worries. A couple of interesting observations...there was a 'thumping' sound that could be heard clearly the entire time I was there. I didn't explore what was making the sound but in a tent, it could be heard throughout the night. Ravens/Crows roost on the nearby ridge so if you arrive around sunset you'll get to experience your own Alfred Hitchcock movie. Sprint LTE was sporadic but available, especially if you climb up higher. All in all, a nice place to camp!
Report Check-InAmazing place. Ended up here because I wasn’t going to make it to moab by sunset. So glad i stopped here.
Report Check-Inas described. no on else there but plenty of places to tuck into and be away from another. minimal US cellular signal. great views and extremely quiet. also a little tucked away from the wind.
