Parked on a flat spot off the road on the south part of the spit. We let some air out of our tires to drive on the sand. Really nice spot and we were the only people there. We did have a family of badgers getting into our garbage in the back of our truck during the night. Just make sure you put yours away properly! 4bars 4g cell

Report Check-Inwe drove a bit further down the spot past the dunes. at the end of the spot is a gate. and the only traffic is of people who work beyond the gate. maybe lighthouse out there - don't know. the road is some of the. worst washboards but fine for my 2wd vanagon. great view of La Paz lights.
Report Check-Innice spot to explore la paz from. about 20 mins out of town. can drive on the soft sand for a nice spot, or there is one spot on firm close to the road at this site
Report Check-InThe road in is about 15 mins of intense washboard. After that you'll find a free spot with a nice nightime view of the city.
There was a bit of truck traffic on the road but nothing too loud and no trouble. In the morning you can walk to the opposite side of the spit and go for a swim. The area on that side is where the whalesharks tours go. You could probably snorkel out for free.
We got our 42 foot bus turned around in this spot but it was tight.
Report Check-Innice spot...specially for being so close to the city. some locals were around having a beer with friends in the afternoon but really nice and no problems at all. room for two or three vehicles. soft sand. pull out to the right when heading out the spit. quiet at night, even on a Saturday.
