A great place to spend the night, very quiet, is about 10 min from Grand Canyon

Nice big flat on an old road spur on National Forest land less than a mile from GCNP. A bit bumpy way in, but away from everyone else.
Report Check-Indo NOT go down this road in the snow without 4wd. if you park here, prepare to wake up early to head the grand canyon. takes over an hour to get through the gates from here!
quiet, secluded, safe

Report Check-InGreat safe place to stay right in the middle of jungle. Surprises to find several RVs and Cars
Report Check-InDidn't end up staying because it was really dark but wanted to update as last update was a while ago so we were unsure it was even active. Lots of wild campers in there, having fires, spaced far apart, well treed. Would have loved to be able to stay there. Much better than the RV park we ended up in! But for the record, it's alive, well, so close to town and lots of others around, but not around. Prefect little spot for a stopover.

Great spot! Easy access from the Grand Canyon. Lots of spots along the road and small fire pits available. We could hear the coyote at night but other than that it was fairly quiet.
