A large Aduana checkpoint, complete with car search and full paperwork check. Not just a little checkpoint, this was more like the Guatemala border crossing and required a deviation from the road. Polite guards, no issues at all.

Location was waaay off. There is nothing at the pinned location, actual checkpoint is at the intersection of the 186 and 199 hwys. This place is huge, you can't miss it. Feels very much like customs, they checked our TVIP, passports, and looked inside the van, but gave us no trouble.

Driving to palenque on a Sunday, no one checked anything, just waved us through!
