Description

Orfelina and her family are very nice people. You can pitch your tent here and she can sell you delicious hot bread or food (we had great cordero). There is a place with a roof and firepit to dry if you are wet or just wanna relax. From the road you can see just one little house, you have to go up a little road to find her. Enjoy !!

lovely camp site with a very friendly host, she is drying our stuff by her fire.
8000 to camp, 10000 for a bed in the room above the kitchen
12000 for what sounds like a very decent breakfast (we didn't go for it)

Lovely campsite 75km south of Cochrane with amazing views of the hills around. Nice grass and 2 very clean warm showers/bathrooms. Basic kitchen facilities at the moment but nice sitting area to relax. There is a twin room also available but no power. Owner very friendly and I think can provide breakfast too. Highly recommended.

very friendly owner. Camping was normally closed because of off season but she let us sleep in the kitchen room of the camping place because of the wind outside. highly recommend!

Lovely family! We had lunch here (cordero) with vegetables all fresh from the garden. In the morning, Orfelina let us milk the cows. Great experience!

Great spot, nice views, farm animals, and the best it's host Orfelina. We arrived late at night after the ferry from viñla o'higgins and after calling one of the numbers listes in below, she received us warmly! The ir nice and super clean bathrooms and hot showers, ten spots, few spots that campera could use, and the refugio which she is still improving but is a great shelter on cold rainy days. I would recommend this camping 100%!

Note: ask her if she has some sopaipillas to sell, they are just amazing!

Report Check-In

muy recomendable. precio actualizado es 6.000 clp por persona. los niños no los cobra. baños con agua caliente. usas carpa o puedes usar el refugio.

there are tables and sofa.
we were alone with their animals and nature.
the place is very beautiful.
on the morning she gave us sopaipillas and we bought 4 eggs for 1000$.

like the other comment, unfortunately the place is more suitable for tents. vans and bigrigs are parked in grassy and rocky field but all ok.
not ok for low vehicle

Best paid camping I had on the Carretera Austral.

I warmly recommend this campsite. We stayed 1 night and payed 6000 CLP per person per night. There are 2 bathrooms, both with hot water. There's also a room, which everybody can use. There you find a small kitchen with a gas stove. The owner and the whole family is very friendly. They also offer breakfast and dinner, which both was delicious (e.g. coffee and tea, homemade marmalade, cheese, bread and eggs for breakfast).
You will find a place for big and small tents and also for cars or trucks.

The entrance from the main road to tge camping is marked by flags. There is only one little sign.
The bathroom is new and with hot shower. They are now almost finishing the big refugio with a sperate kitchen (free gas stove) and a huge lounge area ( now basic). They just have to put te more glasses in the rooms, connect the wood stove and water and electricity.
You can eat here in their house a very nice meal for only 7000 pesos. The fresh salad was enormous.
The only drawback is this place is that there is not much flat area for campers. A lot of nice grassy area for tents.

Nice place, nice people. We just stopped for lunch, it was 5000 for coffee and bread with salami, ham, cheese, butter and marmalade. Good food, the camping looked nice and bathrooms were clean.

Excellent place to stay when biking between Cochrane and Tortel or Puerto Yuanguy. Very friendly hosts, clean bathrooms and showers. Kitchen was still getting set up but does have a stove.

Report Check-In

Very new and clean bathrooms! she is still charging $5000clp per person, and the site is very beautiful, with a nice view to the mountain range. she hung some hammocks under the fruit trees and there's a place with a roof and kitchen to cook your things.

They are now fully up and running. 5,000 CLP pp. nice clean bathrooms. There is a building where you can pitch your tent inside in case of rain (there are rocks to weigh down tunnel tents if you need).

If you’re coming from the north the entrance is just over the brow of the hill - past where Maps.me directs you. There is a sign, you can’t miss it. Lovely place.

We think this is currently the best camping option between Cochrane and Tortel/Puerto Yungay. Really nice Family, gorgeous setting, many small fruit trees and a wooden fence around the camping area to protect your tent from the wind. You can see and hear the waterfall in the distance. Bathrooms are suuuper new and clean.
Prices went up to 5000 pp

Campsite is still in development. Toilet, shower building is brand new. Warm, hot water should be standard, but due to low water pressure we had a nice and refreshing cold shower. Refugio is under construction. We were invited indoors to have coffee and hot bread. Delicious! Very friendly people!

Doña Orfelina and her family made is very welcome at their tranquil piece of paradise. The campsite and their home is set on a small working farm just back off the road. you can walk up to the base of the cascada (waterfall) at the back of the property and admire the fantastic views of the valley. price of a site at the time was a steal at only 2000p but she will likely offer some refreshments for an extra small price of 3000p, which we'd recommend! we also took breakfast 😁. The bathrooms were brand new, clean and very functional however currently having issues with the boiler having enough pressure for the hot water. a Refugio was also being refurbished during our stay, which o believe will include an arga for warmth and cooking. we'd highly recommend doing off here for the night!
