Clean, level and each site has a pic-nic table and a garbage can. It is very loud due to the heavy traffic on the nearby road; the traffic subsides between 11pm and 4am. Good place to spend the night.

Just pulled into this place, not bad! We are glad there is a place to stay the night as we make our way around the national parks. Garbages, picnic tables and a grill. Yes the road noise is loud, but at this point we are used to it. Good enough for once night and plenty of spaces, only one other van with us now

Report Check-In

Same as previous posters. Broken glass but minimal trash. Close to the road but not bad for a free site for the night.

Dec/22nd/23.
Been here. On S Cerar st passed Farm to Market rd 1216 (300 feets) on the right.

Report Check-In

Large, flat, open space for all sizes of vehicles. It’s noisy with traffic and trains, wear ear plugs. Two entrances/exits, one on each end if you miss the first.

Report Check-In

Fine for overnight stay, try and park far side away from road so traffic noise is reduced.

Report Check-In

Relatively clean, level, and felt safe. There are garbage cans but no water or bathroom. Very noisy because of proximity to highway. Lots of big trucks! Beautiful sunset.

Report Check-In

Good place to boondock, picnic tables and bbq, a bit noisy. Lots of trashes in the surroundings.

Report Check-In

Nice easy access off highway. We were the only one here. 6 spots with covered picnic tables. Garbage cans provided, but that’s it. Good for dog walks, but watch out for goat heads. Garbage is mainly on adjacent lots. Park itself is pretty clean. Steady traffic noise, but kind of becomes white noise. No issues and would stay here again. No signage for park itself do you need to watch for it.

Not sure what kind of resort others were looking for in this free rest stop along the highway...

This place has 6 picnic tables each with covers over them, a grill (mostly rusty) a trash can and a spigot (the one we had was super tight). Plenty of room for more than 6 vehicles, and a central area for dogs to do their business.

Saw some kind of security pass by at night but never bothered us. Signs are posted to not graffiti, and most of the ones on previous images have been removed. There's still some glass around, but didn't see any trash.

At night it's pretty hard to see since there's no road lights and it's more of a drop to get in, but just trust the map. Construction cones kind of didn't help either this time of year.

Yes it's noisy, it's a rest stop next to a buddy highway, but quiet enough at night. No trains when we were here.

5/7 would come back again!

Report Check-In

Decent spot for a night. Noisy traffic but can live with it. No toilets. One other person was there.

Report Check-In

Picnic area north of Pecos. As described, 6 sites, graffiti, and lots of highway noise.

Report Check-In

Nice place to have a picnic. Clean with garbage cans. Also nice covered picnic tables. But, way to close to 285, trucks never stop even though it is 9 o’clock on Saturday night! Need earplugs and sleeping pills! Also trains going by, whistling at all hours.

Report Check-In

Park with tables, nice place to have a picnic. Garbage cans and it is clean.
But do not think you will sleep here!
Trucks never stop going on 185, even though it is 10 o’clock Saturday night!!
Ear plugs and sleeping pills!

Spent one night and had the place to myself, for the most part. A couple of cars came and went, more so during the early evening. There are 6 shelters with picnic tables, grills, and trashcans. Full bars with Tmobile. Once traffic dies down, it was quiet. Yes there is road noise, graffiti, and it's older, nothing fancy but as mentioned before it was the better choice from the Walmart parking lot that was small and busy.

Report Check-In

Thankful for these little free RV parks we have been finding in small Texas towns. This is no exception. it is next to a relatively busy road but the noise was bearable. Level spots with picnic table and trash cans. Strong Verizon signal. Not much grass for a dog and what there is is full of prickers.

Report Check-In

Checked it out but didn’t stay here, understood what others said about it seeming kind of sketchy.

Report Check-In

Yeah there's graffiti and trash but it still beats Walmart (down the road aways). Lots of broken glass so be careful with the kids and pets.

Report Check-In

Totally empty and no one bothered me. Hard to spot the entrance at night and moderate road noise. Still, a better option than the Walmart just up the street.

Report Check-In

We got to the park after dark so it was kind of hard to see from the road since they are doing construction on that side of the road. We stayed in the spot furthest from the road and could hear very little noise. No bathroom but it does have trash cans and a BBQ grill.

Report Check-In

reasonable stop for a picnic lunch. lots of highway noise, very littered and lots of graffiti but probably the best you'll get on this stretch of road. shaded picnic tables and a few trees around.

Report Check-In

Free rest stop type place with tables and grills, no services. it was loud from highway noise, and kind of depressing in the middle of oil field territory, but it was free and nobody bothered us.
