Description

Great place on route 15 going to La Paloma about 7kms before town, watch for red the sign that says Hostel. The place is great, has a big backyard and can fit more than 5 rings of any size, is a very well-maintained hostel/ and campground with excellent facilities: clean toilets, electricity, water and plenty of space to chill, the place is cover with big trees so wind is not an issue. Current price is $660 pesos uruguayos, super kind and welcoming owner, safer and nicer than camping in town.

Latest Check-Ins

great big place, the toilets not clean, hot water, no wifi, everything a bit run down , charged us 10US$ pp even for a 6 year old in off season (they charge up to 5 years the whole price)

Report Check-In

780 for 2 in a van. super quiet. fast wifi (although it appeared to be turned off between 10pm and 8am), hot showers (we were told to plug in the hot water heater by the sinks but it was hot without doing this), the family dog, Felix, was very nice but was afraid of our dogs. they offered trails into the bird sanctuary but when we went to walk on them they appeared to be intentionally covered with yard debris. even this time of year the pool was full and clean. it's really to bad it was so cold and rainy when we were here. I only spoke to the husband, but he spoke good English.

400 pesos pp (10 U$ dlls.)

Peaceful place just off the main highway. A very friendly Italian-German couple (Franco and Eva) are the hosts. They are fluent in Englsh, Spanish, German and Italian and they can give you all sorts of guidance. They maintain their own garden and beehives: the property is interesting to explore. The swimming pool is open. The sites are shaded and there is room for a big rig and several van-size rigs. The price in November 2021 is $10US per person per night.

Report Check-In

Highly recomended. Descriptions are true. Except there was a dog. The friendly couple made pizza for us (200 peso) on the typical bbq grill. Was very good.
You need something against moskitos

Lovely big garden with scattered trees and space. Our hosts were very friendly and had a good pizza dinner with them (200 each Inc wine). La Paloma quite sweet, some good cafes and shops. Price $10 each.

Report Check-In

Verry friendly and helpful. A German Italian couple owns the place. Nice setting huge garden, no dogs, no roosters.
