This entire “town” has a weird vibe. Can’t park next to the villa, caretaker told us to park on the beach. We asked if it was safe or dangerous and he said relax it’s safe (in Spanish). Parked on the beach next to the hotel. Then a truck came by around 9pm on the beach honking at us and a nice enough guy who spoke good English told us that we couldn’t sleep anywhere here and had to go find somewhere to stay “in town” wherever that is. He said the cops would come with their lights later and move us along if we didn’t move now. Which is weird because the caretaker at the villa assured us that it was fine to sleep there. We ended up sleeping at the Pemex and it was loud and awful.

After reading all the comments on the sleeping spots on this area, I don’t know if the beach is actually a cartel drop off point like some say or if there’s some cartel presence here or if the locals just really don’t like visitors and have said this to a few past travelers to scare people away or they only want visitors who will pay to sleep in hotels. I think the security at the hotel called the guy in the truck to tell us to move. As we were driving down the dirt road to initially get here we got a weird vibe from locals. Definitely not friendly. Then we read that you have to go surfing with a local “surf guide” so you don’t get harassed in the surf and that was it for us. Felt very unwelcome. Initially Came here to surf but left early the next morning after all this. Been in Mexico for 4 weeks and never felt unwelcome in a place until here. We have a truck camper.

NO MORE CAMPING HERE. THEY TOLD US AND SENT US AWAY.

If your camper is heavy and 2WD without high clearance, then you have no other option than staying here within the hotel fences. They charge 200 pesos per camper, no matter the amount of people but you are not allowed to use any facility (not even the toilet) except some electricity for a while (not the whole night). If you are prepared to add 250 pesos p.p. Then you can use all facilities, which includes shower, toilet, swimming pool, WiFi, bar and play room. There is a night guard.

We went to this place but it felt too lonely, so we left. Telcel 3g only.

Stayed here for two nights, good spot, the guys at the hotel/resort don't mind. It's a big beach, from here you can walk or drive over to Punta Conejo for surfing/Kitesurfing if it's windy.

Was our fist stop at the Pazifik cost coming from San Cristobal. Breathtaking landscape! We parked right in the end of the dirt road the night was a bit uncomfortable as we had a heavy storm but beside that definitely would go back and enjoy it more! Bring food and drinks there is a little house which sells cervezas 6 for a 100pesos which is pricey but what to do when you crave s cold beer after a long ride ;)

Alright for one night. Talked to the hotel as well and they said it was safe. We didn’t go past the end of the road as the sand dunes are deep. About 20 mins on the dirt road to get to the pinned spot.
