Something not right?

Description

They were still building the second floor where the owner let us use the toilet and shower of an unfinished room - he gave us an extension for electricity - really nice guy!! We camped in the parking lot and payed him 100 pesos. / This seemed like a ghosttown the weekdays - nobody on the streets and most places closed. We drove around to ask at the popular rv-spots, they were closed or couldn't give us information. If you wanna go remote, camp at the beach.

Cheapest rooms in town (we stayed for 2 ppl $1000Pesos) VERY basic. Hot water, WiFi, AC and clean linens. (No TV)

We stayed here for two nights. We asked the lady about the fees for overlanders, but she didn't know how much to charge. In the end we agreed on 150MP/night including the use of toilets, shower (they even offered us towels), wifi and electricity without AC (50MP extra for it, which is pretty worth paying since it is pretty hot at night). They also offer laundry services for 100MP/load (it's 150MP in town, by the roundabout). We parked in front of the building, which provides a great shade in the afternoon. There might be better located campgrounds in town, but more expensive than this one, so if you just need a place to overnight before doing a whale watching tour, this place is great. No Telcel service in town. The woman we talked to is taking care of this place with her family while the owner is gone, but the owner is coming back eventually, so maybe prices will be different when she is back.
