Description
Nice guesthouse run by alike Dutch helpful couple. Their house has private rooms and dorms but they have space to put your overland vehicle, or even your tent. Colonial style building in nice area of Kampala close to old town. Great cooks will serve lunch and dinner when requested. A fine place if plan to stay some days in Kampala.

Please be advised that per January 2020 they do not allow camping at their guesthouse anymore. The reason for this, according to the onwner, is that "when we allow campers to enter our garden, we notice that other guests feel burdened to enter the garden." You can of course still stay in the gustehouse.
Report Check-InWe passed 3 wonderful nights in our RTT in the beautiful, shaded garden ($7pppn). Just space for 2-3 ground tents or RTTs. We used the toilets and showers ( hot & high volime) in the guesthouse. Awesome roof-top lounge area/ bar. Owners and staff are very nice and accommodating.
Report Check-InBest place ever! Both for camping and staying in the guesthouse. Thijs and Anne have created an oasis in Kampala, with a loving and joyful vibe. We have been on the road for almost 10 years and it doesn’t happen often that I shed a tear leaving. You can camp (even with a little tent) and arrange your meals yourself, but you can also have 1 to 3 meals a day in the guesthouse. Very good food, big portions and very affordable. There’s a restaurant with a balcony, a spacious and very pleasant rooftop bar and even a garden with hammocks. Despite the lively social atmosphere, there’s no noise disturbance. The showers are warm when the sun shines and always have great water pressure. There’s laundry service and if you need anything else just ask Anne or Thijs. They know a good car mechanic and whatever service you need. They also arrange tours. The rates: camping 7 USD pp, camping with breakfast 10 USD pp, single room with breakfast 26 USD, double room with breakfast 36 USD, lunch 10,000 UGX, diner 15,000 UGX, laundry 10,000 UGX per load.
Report Check-InPleasant place, very friendly and peaceful. We re able to park the truck in the garden and use the facilities. 8usd pp with breakfast.
