Latest Check-Ins

We came here in the week before Christmas, it was a quiet period. Not many people here during the days, only we during the nights. We payed 14.000 Pesos for 2 of us and our truck per night. For us this rate was ok, after 1 month in Bolivia and crossing the north of Chile we felt here like in heaven! Grassy area, clean toilets, hot showers, hammocks, beach-bar-feeling, cold beer, nice food, good Wifi, lounge music… and everything with a magnificent view over the lake The owners Alice and Marcel are super nice and friendly, they don‘t deserve the bad reviews, please form your own opinion! They speak spanish and english, you can rent kayaks as well as windsurfing and kite surfing equipments and also you can get courses for that. The wind was very strong during the day, but it was hot so we enjoyed it by hanging up in the hammocks and it was more calm at night. We stayed there for 3 nights and it was really hard to leave! There is a height restriction at the entrance, but the board hangs on a chain so it's a bit flexible, we are approx. 3,30 m high and it was ok to cross slowly. Extremely recommended!

Very unfriendly owner Alice. Wants now 600 Ars ppn. By far the most expensive place and not welcoming.

Nice place with beach club vibe. Stayed 1 night, it’s 600 a person (non negotiable). Quite a lot indeed but if you arrive early like we did (around 1) you can enjoy the place the whole day and it’s worth it. Check out is around 12. Nice places to relax in hammocks and look at the kite surfers. Toilet really nice and clean as well as the showers. Small kitchen with stove, sink, refrigerator and freezer. WiFi is slow. Apparently the wind mostly stops during the night since the place is famous for the very big winds during the day. We were unlucky and had wind all through the night. Since we have a rooftoptent that means we did not sleep much. Just something to keep in mind..

Our favourite campsite by far since beginning traveling in Chile/Argentina 2 months ago, and we've camped A LOT!

There is a communal area/restaurant/bar serving food and drinks, the pizza is delish! There is indoor and outdoor seating, in shade, and outside nearer the lake there is a huge area with beds to relax on or hammocks to swing in as you watch the wind surfers.
The showers are nice and hot, there are 3 in one room and then there is a separate ladies and mens bathroom, all decorated very well!
There is a small kitchen for cooking and a fridge too.

You can pay daily to use these facilities for a fee or if you camp and pay for that, all is included!

They accommodate for motor homes too as well as tent camping. free wifi and electricity available.

Alice and Marcel are a great couple who are super friendly and helpful in anyway that they can be. Alice is super talented and painted all the artwork you see around this property..the indoor communal area/bar/restaurant is amazingly decorated, making us feel as if we were in a cosy island villa! Marcel is a great laugh too, we talked about his love of music and his favourite iconic British bands! Both speak English too.

Alice and Marcel offer kite and windsurfing lessons here too and they have all the gear for rental too. The next morning Alice helped us with our Spanish over some Mate Té (which they showed us how to perfect!)

We would highly recommend staying here whilst in the area!! It is one of those campsites that you stay for a night and end up spending a week! sadly we couldn't as we had a set flight to catch.

We had a bad experience here, could not recomend. Indeed it is a pretty place by the lake and well taken care. But we felt they are totally money oriented and not child friendly at all. Usually they charge 400 pesos per person, even for a 5 years old kid. Kids pay like adults, doesn't matter their age. It would be 1600 pesos for the 4 of us (we have two kids - 9 and 5). Too expensive for us. And it only includes wifi, a warm shower and a toilet. It has no sites for motorhomes, just a parking lot, no electricity at sites (they let us plug-in at first but asked us to un-plug in the morning, saying normally it was not included in the price) neither water for the tank (too low pressure to fill it up).
We wanted to stay cause it was already late at night. We negotiated the price and they agreed our kids wouldn't have to pay (they offer this idea first). We payed 800 pesos for a night. But the next day we felt really not welcome there, as if they had regretted the price they agreed to take from us. At the end we understood what happened. When we were leaving the owner come to give us a "tip". He said we should not ask for discounts (remember he agreed the price) cause if we have that expensive car (campervan) and have not enough money to pay for their camping site, we should have never left home. Really rude. He has no ideia what an overlander is. It seemed that he expected we would spend our "endless" money in his camping, at his bar/rest and windsurf lessons. He got frustrated cause we didn't. So, if you have a lot of money to spend there, it seems like you will be warmly welcomed.
