Description
Willow North Recreation Site. Nice place at the river with fireplaces, no toilets, very calm and not too far from the highway. 4wd recommended for access road.

Il y a plusieurs emplacements le long de la descente, mais le long de la rivière est vraiment très beau. nous avons vu un ours noir traverser la rivière. c'était très beau.

Very easy to miss the turn off to this site! Bumpy road down with previously-mentioned water-filled large (but not deep) pothole. My promaster van made it down no problem. Lovely water access. Three camp spots on the side of the road down. Room for 2/3 rigs below plus tenting. VERY POPULAR! while we were there at least 10 vehicles came to stay and had to leave. Others budged their way in. One lovely group pulled out a chainsaw to cut wood. Cleaned up 254 spent shell casings : ( Lots of litter.

Report Check-InDecent site next to a river. No need for 4x4 to get here just good tires and some clearance. There was some graffiti and a little bit of trash on the ground but good other than that. There are 2 spots to camp by the river, one larger that could fit a couple of rigs and another smaller that's good for 1. We had 4.73mbps download and 0.46mbps upload in Google Fi.

Report Check-InBreat spot by the river! There was a large deep puddle on the way in so watch when wet if not in an off road cabable vehicle. It is off of Willow N Rd which doesn't show on Apple Maps. There is a small lot with a trail off of it on the other (west) side of the river off of the road, it just dead ends and needs decent 4x4 to complete, though my Outback managed when we were trying to find this spot.
Report Check-InBeautiful riverside spot all to ourselves. No longer an official rec site. Looks heavily used. Unfortunately a lot of trash and TP in the bush. Road down to the river had a few other clearings to camp at if river spots are full. Road was a bit rough with pot holes.
Report Check-InA popular but great location. Had the spot right by the river, no highway noise which is really refreshing. People stopped to check it out and some kayakers provided entertainment. Actually enjoyable spot along hwy 5...
Report Check-InLovely spot, would stay here again. The trail is a 2 track, but I was able to easily drive it in my front wheel drive vehicle. someone had a trailer setup already by the river but no one was there and I had the river to myself.

Report Check-InThis place is beautiful! Right by the river is great. We have a truck camper and Jeep and made it fine. Wouldn’t recommend any thing larger then 25 feet here. Two bars Version.
Report Check-Inreally nice place. you have several places to stay. there are 3 bigger and one smaller places beside the road to the river, and 2 bigger places direct on the river. at my time it was a little bit busy, so only the one small spot beside the road was free- but for me ok.
The way from the highway to the river is a onelane gravel road, it's bumpy, but I think big enough for an 25ft RV.
the water from the river was clean.
at this place there are no facilities, but 2km north/West is an rest area with Pit-toilets and bins. I had a quiet night.
Nice spot by the river. Room for about 4 vehicles. Well aways from the hwy.
