We have german bottles and got them refilled, allthough we had to go there twice, to get the allowance from ingeniero Franco the second day.
The owner of the plant is German, so they said it was just to help us European travellers.

We went to the city of loja location first and they told us to go here. We have our own adapter we bought at a store in Quito. It was difficult still to get them to fill our US tank but they did. If we didn’t have the adapter we feel they strictly would not have done it. They may have called Loja location to confirm they told us to come to them.

insisted they cannot refill any bottle different to Ecuadorian. Said, they had no adaptors

Couldn’t fill our Chilean tank. They offered to change the valve for $5.

Finalmente pudimos cargar nuestra botella uruguaya! Ellos cambiaron la válvula porque era diferente, y nos vendieron el regulador también. 13 kg de gas+válvula+regulador=U$S 20. Muy buena atención! En todo Perú no lo pudimos hacer.

We managed to refill our US tank with no waiting. 5$ for 18 liters. Open also on weekends. There is also another gas plant in Loja otherwise, they have all the adaptors there. Children are forbidden inside. It seems it is a legend that it's forbidden to refill tanks in vehicles. We asked and the guy explained that it's just not so common to be able to do it technically...

El horario de atencion es de 08 a 12 y de 13 a 15 hs. No tienen todos los picos asi que hay que ir con la garrafa y probar. Para pico Argentino no hay problema lo cargan. por 10 kg nos cobraron 2 usd
