When I think overlanding, I think of places like this. Beautiful nature in the mountains, with a small fresh water stream. (I used a sawyer filter just to be sure for drinking.)
The way leads through a small village with some narrow streets, can be tricky with big rigs but doable.
There are many places to camp with or without 4x4. Open places and many places under big olive trees with shade. Down by the stream even more beautiful but only with a tent accessible.
It is also a good place to start your hike into the mountains.
Only downside is that you won’t have the place for yourself as locals camp here too and have family picnics in the weekends. However there is enough space for many people.

First we took the wrong gravel road that leads most probably to the place which other users were disappointed about. Then we drove to the spot from the other way and we found what we were looking for, the picnic area of the locals. We really liked this place for 1 night, we were alone and the climbing crag is not even 10' away. We felt safe and let our car there during the day as we were climbing.
Report Check-InReally nice quiet place half hour away from Izmir. We were here on a sunday there was one other family camping and some goats walking around. Not so much trash, except around the dumpster. Great place for a bushcamp.
Report Check-InWe were really disappointed about this place! We expected a beautiful spot in the nature but at the end it is only a gravel parking on top of the village. Not pretty and full of trash. It's not worth coming here!
Report Check-InTry not to check in at Sunday. At the location were about 50 Turkish people picknicking.
We drove away and searched an other place
