You have to pay to stay on the beach during the day so we didn’t stay. It was 2000C for a car, didn’t check the price for rv.. Don’t know if you’d have to pay to stay the night

Report Check-In

Stayed here one night. We arrived at 4:30pm and we didn't have to pay for our stay.
During the night some venters stayed here as well but some of them were yelling during the night. In het morning the first visitors arrived al 6:30am but they were quiet.
When we left at 11am, we just could leave without paying.

Agréable plage, communauté majoritairement typique Costaricaine. Avec quelques kiosques de souvenirs, boissons et snacks. Très sympathique !

Report Check-In

We arrived late afternoon during the week. The road is absolutely no challenge - I guess even a two wheel drive is sufficient. also the river to cross is tiny.
but they are so many people on the beach. noisy and dirty! The sleeping itself was ok. but as already in the morning cars are pouring in, we escaped rapidly.

Nice beach, lots of shade and space. We were there on a weekend and was really crowded, but everybody leaves after sunset. Quiet and safe during the night. A few of the vendors sleep there too. 3.000 crc for a night.

Report Check-In

Great beach, not crowded. 2,000 colones per car, per day. Some vendors selling food and coconuts to drink. Bathrooms, garbages, recycling on site.

Report Check-In

One road leads into here. Pay 2000c to enter before 6pm. Pay 2000c if you stay past 8am. Quiet. Beautiful. Be sure to check out the tunnels in the rock (all cautions urged- be safe) Cold outdoor showers. Outdoor running water sink. Two toilets. Changing rooms. The biting no-see-ums were vicious and relentless even when the temperatures dropped in the night.

Our favourite spot in Costa Riva so far. Stayed 4 times. Stunning beach you can have to yourselves in the mornings. Couple of vendors sleep there but tonnes of space. 2000 colones a night. Toilets and Showers.

Report Check-In

Very quiet and peaceful.
There is an open air shower, close to the ventanas (holes).
1500c has to be paid in the afternoon. When you come earlier, it’s more.

Spent two nights there, we can confirm the previous posts : free from 5:30pm to 7am, 2000C per car per day, free shower and bathrooms, nice beach with shadow from the trees.

solo paramos a dormir despues de las 17 horas, no pagamos nada, super tranquilo el lugar. La playa esta llena de rocas por eso no nos quedamos a pasar el dia.

Prices are actually only charged during the daytime, it's free between 5pm and 7am, as all staff leave and the beach is open to anyone, so if you just need an overnight camp this is perfect. Otherwise as said it's 1500C for a car/van, or 3000 for an RV. Fantastic for Costa Rica.
The beach is wonderful, nice waves without being too rough, spectacular scenery, and plenty of wildlife.

Beautiful. Quiet, safe beach side parking in sandy bays with views of ocean. Arrive at 5pm as everyone is leaving and you don't have to pay parking. You'll get the beach entirely to yourself within an hour. Enjoy the waves and light a fire. Imagine landscape scenes from Jurassic Park. It's the last beach from the south before the NP where you have to start to pay and a much better option than scruffy Playa Ballena. There's even toilets. As always, I'd suggest giving a little distance to the estuary/pond at the far end of the beach as although no danger signs - better be cautious for crocs.
HOWEVER, come on a Saturday night and you will be immersed in tico family camp out. The camping will be cheek by jowl, but friendly and safe and not at all rowdy. No drunken revellers just family fun and it all goes quiet early.

Nice Location. 1500 Col for couple with Car. Crowded at the weekend but still nice. Shower wasn't working.
