I'm sure the water is fine but don't recommend using the garden hose that is next to it. Our water tastes very plasticky now! Friendly staff though.

I couldn't ask because they were out for lunch so I went ahead and used it. When they got back they came out and asked my to ask for permission. They were incredibly nice about it and asked how I knew about the spigot. I told them about this posting and they were happy to finally learn how so many people knew about it. They asked that everyone come check in with them first. And while you're there I'd recommend checking out some of their gift shop and read up on the local history and have a chat with the nice people that work there.

Parking lot behind the visitor center, relatively quiet and the ground was icy but outdoor faucet had running water. Did not get to meet the manager since we arrived after business hours

Be polite, be considerate, and ask before you use the spout, and they’ll let you fill up no problem.

We weren’t able to ask because they were late opening up the visitor center. There was a hose already attached. Nobody said anything while we were filling up. Parking lot was full but we were able to make it work still.

OMG! These people are amazing! Super rough night on my end. Staff let me fill up with water & offered suggestions for places to eat and campsites. Told me I could leave my van as long as necessary behind visitors center to take a walk & explore for a bit. I think he realized I was exhausted too. Be considerate & ask before using. Plus they are so nice in there.

Check in prior to filling up to make sure it’s ok. Very friendly staff. The water access is along the walkway on the side of the building. No charge for water - support by purchasing something! Great essential oil spray.

Additional note - there is a supermarket across the street which is open till 11pm which has toilets and the groceries are quite cheap!

We arrived here around 4pm and found the tap on the outside of the building.

We proceeded inside to ask if it was potable (drinkable) water and to our luck it was!

We washed our dishes and filled up all our water containers.

We also asked if we could stay and park behind the centre over night and the lady said yes!

We also used the bathrooms inside (open until 5pm).

Happy times

Felt weird about just hooking up to the building because there are windows right by it that you can see inside. Went in and asked the woman working if there were any hose hook ups we could use near by and she offered the hook up on the building. We only needed about 15 gallons so that may have helped. She was incredibly nice!
