Snagged one of the proper spots for a couple nights. Don’t be surprised if other cars come and park in any of the space between the designated spots. Our area had 2 designated spots and we had at least 5 neighbors by the time we went to bed. Some cell service on AT&T and one bar on Verizon. Otherwise nice spot with firepit and vault toilets.
Report Check-InThese are designated dispersed sites and are OPEN. (As long as the road is open)
Some of the sites have multiple spots, others are singles. Sites go for about 8 miles down the road with 8 total sites. After these spots there is dispersed camping by Grassy Lake.
The road was recently re-done and is excellent but I would not recommend a large rig go farther than site 3 as the road narrows and curves.
Report Check-InNice spot, but if you don’t want people driving through at night, go pay for a spot. Please don’t scream at people driving through looking for a place to sleep.
Report Check-InRoad closed. Impossible to enter. Probably not working more.
Report Check-InBeautiful spot between the Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park. Right on the river with a bear box, picnic table, and fire ring. Pretty views. Road in is a little bumpy but nothing terrible. Free site off season with a gas station/convenience store right down the road.
Stayed here in a Ram Promaster 3500
1 bar Verizon
Dispersed site with bear box and privy. room to park around six vehicles. Along the Snake River. Beautiful location.

AMAZING FREE campsite on the Snake River between South Yellowstone & Grand Titans. Each Camp has 1 - 4 campsites, each with a vault toilet & trash. Sites have picnic table, fire ring & bear box.
Report Check-InVery nice and free. Nice view of the lake and clean restroom. Only 2 sites here. We could hear a lot of coyotes/wolfs at night.
Report Check-InVeri Nice! Only 2 sites here, but very quiet and nice view of the lake. At night we could hear a lot of coyotes/wolfs.
Report Check-InRoad closed as of 5th of June 2023. They should reopen on 1st of July 2023.
Report Check-InCampground between Yellowstone and Grand Teton. Good clean showers and washrooms, laundry too. Very weak free wifi in lodge lobby.
Report Check-InBeautiful place to stay, and free! Very clean pit toilets. Stayed in camp#1. It was full already, but just stayed in the parking lot.
Report Check-InThe campsite#3 is far the best one. Near the river, clean pit toilets. We stayed 3 nights and early night always arrive more campers. Even being just 2 spot, between tents, vans and campers can sleep up to 5 in each camping. There is a hot spring nearby. Really hot and is not recommended to dive your head. We’ll see the sign right after (or before) the gravel road begins.
Report Check-In5 camp sites with 1-4 pitches each for a total of about 8 pitches. Lots appear to be suitable for tents or small campers only. Also the access road is just gravel, quite bumpy but passable. All sites full by 7pm.
Report Check-InNice place near snake river
only camp 2 open
2 site but perfect for 4/5 rv or van
very buzy at night and quite at night
Nice place by the river. lots of people showed up later the day so it was crowded
Report Check-InThe camps 3 and up were closed due to forest fire. The camps 1 and 2 are still open but very crowded and sad looking. We didn't stay. It was heartbreaking to see the forest this way.
Report Check-InFree sites with clean toilets. Ranger comes every day to clean and take the garbage away. Places fill up quickly, so be here early! If you can't find empty spot then drive past camp spot nr. 5 and 500meters after that there is a parking lot for the hiking trailhead. We stayed there for one night. Best spot is campsite nr. 3! Campsite nr. 4 is good as well. Amazing views and good trout fishing spot is just 50 meters down the stream from nr. 3. All those campsites get notable traffic in the evening as people are looking for a emty spot to park. Free for 14 days out of the year.
