This is a campground at the Ron Coleman Quartz mine. Might be my favorite campground ever. It’s 13.75 a night after tax. No reservations, all first come first serve. We called ahead and they said there were plenty of spots. All spots have water and electric. Some also have sewer. The camp host is really great. HOT showers. Endless hot water that I actually had to turn down (rarely happens with camp showers..) there is chipping paint and needs a little love but for the price, close your eyes and enjoy the shower! Laundry room right in side of bathhouse. Best thing-crystals EVERYWHERE! We found so much clear quartz points just walking around and then we did a day of $20 fee digging at the mine (short walk) holy moly there are some amazing crystals you can pull out up there. I pulled out a crystal clear point the size of my fist and stunning clusters. Bring tools and sunhats. Super fun stop.

The previous reviews are pretty accurate. the folks who camp here are into the crystal mining experience. The campground is cramped, but cost effective. The shower facilities are good. We are not into the whole crystal thing. however, the Ouachita state park has some nice wooded water trails and the national park is about 30 miles away.
Report Check-InGreat campsites!! Clean bathrooms, hot showers. Campsites have been updated with new power and water. Camp hosts are welcoming.
Report Check-Inyep price has def gone up! And......they asked who told me it was first come first served! they require reservations. maybe it's a little busier in the summer.
Report Check-InThe prices seem to have gone up, because camp spot costs $20. It seems very popular and even a little crowded! It has running water so there are toilets and showers (although the plumbing is very weak). Showers can be used by non-registered campers or miners here for $4. Seems fairly clean, although my boyfriend told me that he saw human feces in a shower, so that’s not great... Women’s showers seemed fine, but I didn’t use them. There are a lot of signs posted with rules so it sounds like they’re strict about them. Only stayed one night, but it was nice and quiet.
Report Check-InPrice now $20 per night. Space 19 overlooks the grass and pond. Very nice. Folks were friendly. Water was clear and good. Did not use shower. Weak phone signal. No wifi.
Report Check-InAs described in other reviews. $13.75 with full hook up some even have sewer. Bath and shower house is very clean. Keep in mind this place is extremely strict with its rules! Extremely strict!!!!
