If you’re in the area don’t miss this place. The drive in is on a good road that has spectacular scenery. Once there you’ll enjoy multiple hot tubs. Great walks with many birds and different plants.

We paid $2.50 usd per person per night.

A great place to rest and recharge.

Cajon Grand Thermal Bath. To access here you have to follow a 12 km track, sometimes muddy. On site you will have access to 8 small thermal baths at different temperatures between 35 and 40 degrees. The water contains salt and iron giving it a yellow color. It would have virtues for the skin. Entry is at 1200 pesos per person. We didn't pay for our fitted truck because we stayed there for one night. Here you can camp or rent a small cabin. There is a small restaurant. WC, water, barbecue, tables and chairs outdoors. Beautiful setting we recommend. If there is snow they can lend you sledges and perhaps other winter sports equipment.

This place is beautiful- but you have to work to get here.
Note- border office closes at 6:00pm or 18:00hrs. If you miss it, there is camping there.
If coming from Chile you must check out and advise them that you are stopping here. The turn off is before the Argentinian check-in facility.
If coming from Argentina you must check out, but tell them you are coming here and NOT going to Chile. They will give you back your TIP and a slip of paper with info on it. Do not lose that slip of paper.
Because we have dogs, I also checked with the Senasa agent to be sure our dog papers would be okay. He said yes, not problem to cross back after the thermals.
The road is not too bad. The canyon is beautiful. There is a sign for the turn off and any size rig can make the drive. There are spots to pull off if you need to camp before the fee area.
Once you enter the area you can choose where to camp. There are a few spaces in the dust above the springs. There are many flat places in a large, grassy field. Most spots have a fire pit. Some have tables or benches. There is running water in at least one sink. There are hot showers and toilets. Plenty of trash cans. Any size rig can fit. Dogs are welcome.
We enjoyed a menu del día at the restaurant, but you don’t have to. They also sell a few chips and soda, but not much. Come prepared. It is rustic, but lovely. We enjoyed the water, although it is a little muddy. No smell. Varied temps. Not too crowded mid-week. Terrible wifi and zero cell service.

Les recomiendo pasar la noche ahí y las termas naturales

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

12 km before the termas is a aduana check point. they don t let us pass. they say that in this time of pandemia and closed borders, the termas are only permitted for a local turismus. its main that only argentinos with a argentino ID and argentinos car can pass this point. The only consolation that the valley we have to drive to arrive here
is very beautiful

Lindo lugar. Aguas termales y un tranquilo lugar para descansar. Muy cerca del cerro Campanario.

Report Check-In

Just wonderful, friendly people. The right place, if you love a nice atmosphere in a quiet valley, nothing fancy, just hot pools, a cold river, cows and sheep and horses. Could be cold at night and windy. We stayed two days. It‘s behind the Argentina border control and way before the one in Chile.

Report Check-In

Good seven thermal pools. Nice camping clean toilets and showers. 200ap pP

Report Check-In

Thermal waters, camping site, near Campanario mountain (4057m).

Beautiful hot springs! Small natural like tanks along and above river. We went in after sunset and had them to ourselves for some bizarre reason - think the locals busy with asados! Lovely scenery and starry night. Quiet once the generator is turned off. Good clean loos and showers but no shade in camping. 200 each per night. Good 2wd road in.

Report Check-In

Very windy, first night in 2 years of traveling that we couldn't put up our pop up tent roof to sleep! Several pools hot enough to stay in for long time even in the cold and wind. Nicely formed pools around rocks and next to the river. 12km from the main road.

Just a dream, an amazing place.
There is nothing better than hotsprings after a long riding day.

We did some nice hiking here as well, the bathrooms are currently under some construction. When we came here we had to go through immigration, that was quick on our way back we got surged quite well, we don't know what they were looking for, every body friendly, got again 90 days for Argentina in our passports.

Report Check-In
