There is secure parking in the hotel grounds, but they don’t allow camping. This is a good place to stay if you have a vehicle and want to go to the Candelaria caves. They have terminals for internet but no wifi.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Cheapest room is 35q, but it’s very small and dark in an old building, shared bathroom. There are better options in the newer buildings, I went for fan and cold shower for 100q. They also have rooms with A/C for 150 and with hot water for 185q (these are prices for a single person).
Wifi is barely working.
A restaurant is onsite.
Price for the simplest double room with private bathroom and cold water still Q140. Internet is really bad, I had to try multiple spots in the parking lot area to be able to send a few messages.Report Check-In
140Q for two people in a basic but very clean double room. We asked about the tours but ended up refusing and got an awesome tour at candelaria camposanto next morning instead. Here they wanted 300Q just for a tour of the dry caves (2 people) our 600 (!!) with tubing.Report Check-In
Very clean and nice rooms and ample space for parking a rig. Cesar guides tours in English into the caves (dry and underground river) from here. Tours are 150Q or a shorter version for 100Q. Double room with fan and cold water showers 150Q.Report Check-In
Basic hotel. Clean. Double room with fan and tv for 140 q. Safe parking spot. Quiet at night. (100 for single room)Report Check-In
Clean and comfy. Cave tour and tubing that they offer is fantastic. 140q for two. No hot water. Toilet did not flush.internet was broken or non-existent. But otherwise fine.Report Check-In
Nice room for140Q for 2 people. Secure parking, cold showers but good wifi in restaurant. perfect for current monsoon conditions!Report Check-In
Cost: 140Q for the room for two people (we snuck the dog in)
Dates stayed: 13 January 2015
This hotel was very clean and had secure parking. The hotel front desk was helpful to talk about road conditions for both actual road conditions due to the two weeks of rain and because protestors had shut down the highway we wanted to travel the day we arrived (that is why we stayed at this hotel; we got turned around due to road closure).
- nice hotel where you can sign up for cave tubing and hiking tours to some other caves
- we didn't sleep here, but by the area where the tours start (about 20 minutes west of here)
- tubing was 125 Q per person including a walk to a cenote and one cave (which were not that interesting, but it was the same price as the tubing alone). The tubing was great, very recommended (it took us abour 2 hours to float through the cave)
- we camped by the exit from the tubing cave, there were palapas and a simple toilet, not much more (price was reasonable, about 30 Q per car, but we don't remember exactly)
Nice hotel near the Candelaria Caves. We have paid here for a room for 1 person 100QZ and we were able to free 2 sleep in the car. Only camp they were not as bergeistert. One would probably diskuttieren.
2 people Room 140QZ would cost without air and 170 with air. Room was clean.
