Description

An extraordinary natural bridge from a fiscus tree. You can climb on it and shoot good fotos. It's a little bit hidden. From the street you have to go right (coming from the terminal) on a little path in the woods. You will see the tree after 2 min. walk.

No longer free, it costs ¢1000pp.

Tiny trail but we did see some kids running down the stream underneath the beautiful tree for a while further so probably good for an explore. Otherwise beaut spot for a little shady break and an amazing tree. Loos at the top of the trail as well!

We parked in a pullout from Calle Mariposario. There is a free path (there is a box to make a donation) which gives access to the famous tree. At the "Mini Mirador" sign the tree is just in front. On this side it seems complicated to climb on it. To see it from the side, the best is to continue on the path on the right which descends into the canyon, you must then cross the river, follow it on the left, then cross the river back to arrive on a "platform". The other side of the river is better arranged with a hard platform and certainly an easier path, but it seems you have to pay.

A -not nice- guy at the entrance is asking 1000 colones pp now. On the street, same curve as the official entrance (with sign) just 20m uphill there is a footpath going down to the river from where you can access the tree for free!

"Trail"head is on a private property where you can park. From there you walk maybe 2 min down the hill into the canyon to see the bridge. It's a nice quick stop, just don't expect too much...

The trail access is from the curved road on Google maps where restaurante el jardin is located. Just walk along that curve and you’ll see a well beaten footpath. Go downhill on the path and follow the stream to the right and you won’t miss it

i mean left in the woods and then right 😆

we could not find the path down unfortunately

Really cool, roads are horrible of course. When you enter the path you’ll reach a fork, go to the right even though it looks covered this is the way down to the bridge
