Latest Check-Ins

As of Feb 1, 2023, all campsites in this area are pay sites. Found on reservation.gov under "Rabbit Valley." This one is $28 a night. Otherwise, beautiful area with some nice hikes. Road is easy when dry or frozen.

Report Check-In

Other descriptions are accurate. As long as road is dry a careful driver can make it in a reasonable vehicle, such as stock surburban, small SUV, or capable car. If the road is wet it will be very messy.

Report Check-In

Beautiful view fire rings, tables, and tent sites at all camps. Multiple pit toilets. Looks remodeled. Road in wasn’t bad. Made it in Ford Focus

Report Check-In

amazing spot, great views, 4bars Verizon LTE, but super buggy at the moment.

Report Check-In

This spot is about 15 min. drive from the south side of exit 2 off of the 70. Spoke to someone from BLM and it’s free until next year but you need to grab a free permit tag at the entrance. There’s about 15 designated camp spots all with tent pad, fire pit and picnic table. The spots are huge and absolutely beautiful views of the canyons and river. We had no problem getting here in our Promaster just a little bumpy and dusty - would reconsider if wet/rain.

Report Check-In

Beautiful place to camp here it has new campsite pad, picnic table and fire pit along with another new bathroom pit. Also perfect view over cliff of Colorado river and train passing thru.

Report Check-In

Has new campsite and bathroom. It was so beautiful to watch sunset coming up and also beautiful cliffs with Colorado river and train passing thru.

Report Check-In

This location is fantastic and easily accessible by any four-wheel-drive vehicle. Even high-clearance CUVs would have no problem getting here. We easily made it in our 170 Sprinter van with 2” lift.

Fantastic views and immaculate camp spots with newer toilets and fire pits. There’s not much to do here unless you are on an MTN Bike or off-road rig. No hiking.

Worth the effort to get here!

Report Check-In

Stunning place. Amazing views. Access is 4 miles of a rough road, which is rocky at parts, and loose dirt/sand at others. We pulled a pop up trailer and took it slow, but never had to go into low range 4x4. Some loose dirt/sandy places require some gas, but it's never deep enough to bog down.

Unfortunately, we could not make Visible/Verizon work reliably here. There is a band 13 connection and we tried to boost it, but ping was too high and the connection would come and go. Could have been our antenna position, not sure.

Great spot. Stopped on my wait back during a cross country trip. Only one other vehicle here for the night. Great views and sunrise to go along with morning coffee.

Report Check-In

Absolutely stunning camping area on a bluff overlooking the Colorado River. The road in is recommended high clearance but it isn’t too difficult as long as it’s not wet. The bad spots are in the camp area . A sign has an arrow leading you to the right but if you go to the left you can reach the easier camp sites 4 to 7 .... 1 to 3 are definitely rocky ledge and sketch of not in 4x4. Pit toilet , 7 days free and tons of trails all around .

Report Check-In

As described, somewhat remote campground, overlooking the Colorado River with fancy cement pit toilet. All very nice and tranquil on this Sunday night.

Report Check-In

Awesome. Secluded. Rough road in 4 x 4 advised. Pit toilets the available. Overlooks Colorado River 2 bars 4G ATT

Report Check-In

Above the Colorado River looking down on to the canyon below.

We saw people paddle camping. Next time we’re doing it that way.
