Description

Successfully parked overnight in this trailhead lot. Port-a-potties across the street at the Lake Park, which closes at 8pm. Some road noise nearby. No Loitering signs are posted nearby the baseball fields, but we stayed inside the vehicle and near the trail and nobody bothered us in a campervan.

Stayed here one night in a converted van. Even in the winter, the parking lot was full of people coming and going to watch the beautiful sunset and sunrise. There’s a gate now, but don’t think anyone closed it. No one bothered us.

Report Check-In

I would never consider staying here in summer, but it was fine for a fall evening. If cops came by - they never bothered me. Stayed for the sunrise over the lake - and woke up to fog. I may try again before heading south for the winter. I frequently walk my dog here, so I was familiar with it.

Verrrrrry Nice place…

Near the street but not a lot of noise

Cute and quiet spot to sleep for the night! Like other reviews mention, the sign says the gate closes at 8pm but there was no gate. A cop rolled through at about 9:30, did a lap and left so I think it's totally good to stay overnight as long as you keep things clean and quiet. Beautiful lake to wake up to!

I wouldn't suggest staying here, a bunch of recent thefts reported on local police website, also there was a 69 year old women disappeared on December 30th 2020, day later found dead behind that abandoned ball field where everyone is saying to park...
area seems sketchy so we left

slept right against the water and had no issues! Also no one came to close the gate at night so people came in and out.

Report Check-In

Parked in the lake parking, which is on the other side of the baseball field, there are signs that they close the gates at night but we arrived late and it was open. We didn’t have any issues parking overnight

I sat by the lake until 7:30 because gates close at 8:00. Then went and parked at baseball fields. Got out and walked back to the lake for sunset hike. Quiet peaceful night

Nothing to worry about because you’re not breaking any sign rules.

Very cool spot by the lake. Free.
Lot of space. Calm and quiet.
We stayed 1 night with the van with no problems!
