Lesotho
Parking next to the visitor centre with a great view over the dam. We were allowed to park up for free by the friendly security guard.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
All said before but tours are now at 9am and 2pm
But the time seems to change depends how the guide feels.
Best is to come and enjoy the area as long the tour starts.
do not miss to visit the botanical garden in Katse. Endrance fee is included in the fee for the view point!
very nice and informative tour at the dam also as at the garden.
I was allowed to stay here. Just to clarify, it's the old building down the gravel not the blue-roofed building. The tour is now 30 not 10.
Report Check-Insecure thanks to the guardian.beautiful view but dirty toilets and no shower. we didn t stay, we were going to camp at katse dam hotel at 4 km for 100 pppn with kitchen, hot shower and lounge!
Report Check-InRun down place but great view over the dam wall and still for free. We didn't use the ablutions as they were terribily filthy. Security guard might hint for a tip. Don't miss the informative tour of the dam itself starting usually at 9am and 11am at the building with the blue roof and costing only 10R pp (0,65€)
