Georgia
Info stall on the national park. Road up to here is beautiful, but challenging and only 4x4. Probably possible to stay in the building next to it. Several hiking trails start here.
June 2019 the road washed away a couple of kilometers further on, so I camped on the flat ground just next to the stall. (EDIT 23 July 2019 - Road is open again!)
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Info stall was closed in August - seemed to be not used for a while. The ranger station is still there, maybe they can also provide one with a map of the park, but we didn't ask.
Report Check-InRoad to Omalo is open again. And definitely worth the effort to get here
Report Check-InWe came back here today. Wanted to ask the ranger something about Tusheti but he does not speak English 😕
Report Check-InThe place was ok for staying one night. Omalo was not reachable because the road was washed away. Unfortunately it was to late to drive back by Abano Pass.
Report Check-InEdit: the walking trails start from the 'visiter center' 16 km further in Omalo
