It looks like the town created this spot for boondocking. There's a picnic table, garbage and recycling and it's very level. Easy walking to a pub, coffee shop, ferry to Norris Point, liquor/convenience store.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
We went to stay but unfortunately there are a couple of very prominent “No Overnight Parking” signs put up.
Report Check-InVery peaceful and quiet, no wind, a lot of birds and little bugs. Beautiful on a misty day.
Was told that Herrings come here in Oct, and followed by some times 80 whales
Just as others say. Great spot, beautiful view, and easy walk to the Legion to meet the locals.
Report Check-InBeautiful place! We saw some dolphins in the bay and met a few other campers. There is also a small beach where you can go swimming if you don't mind the cold water.
Report Check-InThis is a great spot! Level gravel parking lot right on the water with a stunning view of the mountains. A minute walk into town, a couple of restaurants/pubs, cafes.. laundromat, grocery store, liquor store. Perfect spot to call home while you explore a bit of Gros Morne.
As said before please resist the urge to park length wise and block off multiple spots... easily could fit 8 or so cars but the second night 2 motorhomes took up the whole spot.. sharing is caring! :)
Just as described. The very nice Granite Coffee house is just around the corner. As well, close to the St-Pat's church where we attended the Gros Morne Summer Music.
Report Check-InIndeed a wonderful spot directly at the water. Please be respectful, park at the side and do not block the whole place as the locals use it for parking when they go into town.
Report Check-InThis this a five star place for sleeping. Great view with whales and verry quiet at night.
