Report Check-In

Police wouldn’t let us enter even though we could see plenty of spaces. Said we were too big: Ford Transit. Told us to park at the BBQ place, which is only day use (almost didn’t let us park here)...no sleeping in van.

Nice place nearby the historic center.
We payed U$ 7,00 per day.
Toilets do not have showers, but are clean.
No place for ground tents. Only Motor Homes and Roof Tents.

Report Check-In

7 $ for 24 hours in a big rig. Now the (American BBQ) restaurant / bar is open. Which means that you have a really fast internet (even when the restaurant is closed, even when it’s packed with people), nice modern toilets and no problems to leave the place or to come back. BUT: music starts in the evening, lots of people coming, going and talking till 4 am (on a Thursday). At 6 am the school across the street will take over the acoustic scene and trains the kids to deafness. If Google is right, the restaurant is closed on Monday. Sunday they‘re open only from 12 - 16 pm. We used the internet at daytimes and enjoyed the really short walking distances to everywhere and for the night we moved to the Overlander Spot at Pumapungo 700 m down the river (be aware that you have to leave at Pumapungo around 7:30 am, when the lot fills up with employers from the municipal authority, but they told us that we are very welcome to come back after 5 pm. This lot is free.)

Report Check-In

This place isn’t closed. We could park here for 7,50 USD/24 hours. It was surprisingly quiet during the night.

Report Check-In

This place is permanently closed.

Report Check-In

We stayed here for 3 nights (Friday to Monday) and we're quite happy. The location is perfect, as it's very easy to walk to everything. However, there is lots of street noise. Owner happened to be on site when we got there. He initially asked for $10/night but gave us $5 off when we told him we would stay 3 nights, $25 total.
Not the cleanest toilets, but on site. No shower. He gave us a key to the gate so that we could get in and out after hours.
They are working on the bar so as of right now no loud music, but this will change. No wifi anymore either, but plenty of public wifi around. Don't know much how longer this place will be a option.
Lot closed after 1pm on Saturdays and all day Sunday.

Report Check-In

The owner has changed there is no longer a bar. They are redoing the place and it will become a restaurant. Thet let us stay for the night for $10. not sure that they will do it all the time. Too bad because it is a great location. gate open from 7am to 9pm.

Report Check-In

all as described. Careful, gate is locked on Sundays, even though they told me ok to leave at 8am Sun.

Report Check-In

If you're after somewhere central and secure then this is it. $7 per vehicle per 24 hours. Toilets are fine, and if you're really fussy you can use the ones at the bar (open Tuesday - Saturday from 5pm). No shade. Wifi can reach your vehicle from the bar (buy beers for the password) depending where you park. Music every morning at 6.30 coming from the school across the river. The gate is closed (maybe locked) on Saturday until the bar opens at 5pm, and it's locked on Sunday - if you want to leave you have to talk to the guy in the building next to bathrooms. You can easily jump the fence into Parque de la Madre if you want to leave by foot though.

Note: this carpark is not the carpark for Parque de la Madre - it's the dirt lot next door. When you turn into the street it's the very first gate on the right, where you enter to Rue Bar.

Report Check-In

Ok proche du centre, 7$/nuit, Wc

Report Check-In

Now 7 dollars x car. Not clean toilets and loud music on Saturday night... for the location and price still a good choice 4 one night but if anything better shows up, would rather pick that.

Report Check-In

Good spot close to the towncenter of Cuenca. We stayed here on a wednesday night and it was very quiet. Toilets 24h, no electricity and no WiFi for parking-guests. We got WiFi at the Bar and had some Drinks.

Report Check-In

*Bring Ear Plugs*
This is a bar with a parking lot (promoting drinking and driving?) nice to have 1 toilet and good location. We stayed Thursday and Friday the bar crowds stuck around until 3am. We asked the attendant if there would be someone available to let us leave Saturday morning and he said yes.

Report Check-In

Convenient location from town center. Clean restrooms, no showers. Depending on who you meet they'll let you use the bar wi-fi. Definitely a good alternative for an affordable stay in Cuenca.

Report Check-In

Still $5/vehicle. Great location and relatively quiet at night. Owner of lot said that free WiFi may not be available to campers in the future.

Report Check-In

Wonderful spot! We drove for 2h trying to find a place in town. This place is the best for a few reasons :
- cheap beer available at the bar
- other overlanders parked here
- close to the beautiful old town
- gated and safe parking

Cons: a bit noisy...but for $5/24h, in downtown, with wifi and WC, hard to beat!

Report Check-In

This place is awesome if you want to be in Cuenca! It's in a great location. There is a mall with a movie theater and food places like 2 blocks away. Power on site for part of the day (when the bar is open), and wifi works at the bar and sometimes at your rig. Bathrooms are available as well, but no showers currently. Still $5 per rig and all rigs can fit. This is basically a combination of monthly parking for people who work in Cuenca and so M-F they come and park and go to work. And also, on the sue facing the street there is a bar/ restaurant that is open from 4PM - 12 midnight ish. You are in the middle of the city so it's not mouse quiet, but we had no issues sleeping and being so close to everything was fun. The old town is just across the river up some steps. Super safe part of town and highly recommended if you want to decompress for a few. We spent 10 days!

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Still $5 pn for us & van. Great cocktails, nachos & onion rings at bar. White & turquoise sign with arrow on main road right beside it saying "Ingreso parqueadero". Immediately on right by sign. May look locked but you can usually open the gate. There are usually people there from md morning to early afternoon except Sunday. If out late on Sun or Mon eve when bar closed will need to ask about access as we had to climb the fence! Noise (singing, music & loudspeaker) from nearby park from 6.45 am. Shopping mall with cinema (& some English films) 2 mins walk away & well stocked supermkt 3 mins walk away. Also lots of free or cheap (poorly signed but found on maps me sights) museums nearby inc the free planetarium in the park next door. IF LEAVING AT A WEEKEND make sure there'll be someone there to unlock the gate & no number to call!

Report Check-In

after parking the RV at 5pm the bar at the parking was open till 3am with disco.
the next morning the electric cable was plugged out and the gate was closed.
we have to climbe over the fence to get in the town.
also when we arrive from the town the gate was still closed and again we have to clime over the fence. NOT A VERRY GOOD PLACE.

Report Check-In

Richard, the young Colombian relative of the guys that own this place, speaks great English. Clean bathrooms. The main business is a bar, but they have heaps of parking space and warmly welcome overlanders to stay. Still $5 per vehicle for 24 hours. After coming from Peru this city is like a treasure trove of fine dining, great coffee and cute architecture to revel in! It's urban camping, so don't expect it to be quiet, but we love it!

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

The best place to spend night, near the downtown, side the square! 5 dólares by car! Don't have shower!

Report Check-In

Very convenient central location and a very friendly, helpful guy, but (as to be expected in the city) it is a noisy spot. Music from the on-site bar until late, traffic noise from the main road most of the night, and loud music from the park next door from 6 am (Sat morning). The on -site cafe bar does reasonable food and he prepared it for us to eat in our truck (there was heavy rain and he only has out-door tables!). $5 for the day/night.

Report Check-In

Super loud at night, but met other two overlanders, easy to walk everywhere, Internet only worked ok at the bar. Stayed here two nights as we didn't find another option for our truck camper

Report Check-In

Very good spot. Arrived friday night and stayed a couple of days. The gate is closed on the weekend but our boy Johnny who is the guard and lives there gave us a key so it was easy ans safe to get in and out. 5min walk to all the downtown sights and right next to the park which was perfect for morning yoga and excercise

Report Check-In

stayed here for several nights on and off. Quiet at night. 5$/car. Friendly owner, who is used to overlanders. wifi, toilets, close to the center.

Report Check-In

Great place. We arrived on Friday evening and the friendly Colombian that works here (Richard) helped us get setup and also let us run an extension cord for power to our van. As mentioned, decent bathrooms (they're also building new ones) and wifi.

Report Check-In

Best Wifi we had in a while! If you want to sleep in you car it's a good place to stay in the city.

Report Check-In

Well located, relatively quiet at night, nice owners, there is a bathroom and the wifi works great.

Report Check-In

Open the monday. The person says that it is open on saturday and sunday if you call the guard... When we tried, nobody answered.

Report Check-In

It was closed when we arrived saturday at 5 pm. Always closed all the sunday. I don't know why...

Report Check-In

The old parking lot at the corner was closed this saturday.
The new parking is not for big rig because the only exit is by tunnel. (say the guard)

Report Check-In

Best place to stay in Cuenca. Great wifi. Next to the river and a very nice park with playground for kids. A few blocks from centre. Very friendly owner. Bathrooms not too Clean

Report Check-In

Great place to stay. A few young men who run the parking lot, including one very friendly, young Colombian who loves to practice his English. Bathrooms not too bad, fast WiFi. Said he could arrange for us to shower in the building near the bathrooms if necessary. Left early on Saturday morning, they might be closed on the weekends so you have the place to yourself.

Report Check-In

not aloyed to enter with our big rig because of the short exit..
the guard couldn'd ask is boss because it was Saturday
I think it will be possible when the boss is there because there is an another exit

Report Check-In

Recomendable 100%!!

Report Check-In

Very friendly staff, by now they're used to overlanders 😀 and dog friendly ! close to main road but not very noisy by night.

Report Check-In

We *think* we stayed at this same location - there are many parking lots around. We stayed in the first one on the right hand side after you turn onto F. Talbot. It faces the main road (Av 12 de Abril), so it's a bit noisy, but wasn't a problem. Paid same price ($5/car), and had internet. Really nice attendant was working there (likes to practice English).

Report Check-In

We paid 5US per day/night to stay here. It's great location, near the river, 10min walking to city center, next to a great park. There's also wifi! I'm not sure if they are used to overlanders but they let us stay and we felt safe. Cuenca it's a beautiful city ;)
