Description

Not far from Ensenada, on the water. The father of this family spent most of his extra money from the last ten years turning his house into a mock castle, turrets included. There are nice shady palapas and farm animals roaming around the camping area. Wifi available near the house.

Un excelente lugar para acampar, su tranquilidad es inigualable.

El costo es 100 pesos por camping y 80 solo el día, hay baños y regaderas.

Small pleasant campground right on the inlet. Cell coverage on Verizon. Flat sites with picnic benches. T
wo bathroom buildings with flush toilets and showers.

To clarify, this place is actually called Rancho Mi Refugio. It’s a wonderful little place. Spots are a nice size and clean with a picnic table and either a palapas or pergola. Each has a fire pit and garbage can. There is a dish wash station available and small/basic bathroom & warm showers. Remember to bring your own tissue and hand soap. No tissue in the toilets it goes instead in the bucket provided. The people here are nice and there are many long term residents. Nice views on the water. Someone was burning something in the late afternoon. Very smoky and smell not great. Unsure what it was- thinking trash (?).

Decent spot. We paid $100 pesos to park our van. On the lower level there is a crazy chihuahua barking all night.

Nice owner, he said it’s 80 pesos a person. Wifi worked good and showers were hot. Friendly long termers

As said: good place close to Ensenada. Friendly family. 100 pesos for 1 night. A lot better and cheaper than other places around.

We paid 160 Peso for two Person in a Pickup Camper, no water or electricity.
Bathrooms ARE dirty and you nee to bring your own toilet paper as well.
Aside from this the place is nice kept, has a childrens playground and lots of shade trees.

Paid 50 peso for tent camping no car. I arrived after dark. Then the next day owner said it was 30 peso more to stay the whole day and night. So 80 peso for tent camping. Facilities as described. Power points near the outdoor kitchen area.

We paid 100 mex for 2 pers and a small van. Bathrooms very dirty but hot shower (once at a time).
According to me there is a little bug, in the morning they burn front of wind the garbage (plastic bags, plastic bottle etc) and the wind brings all toxic elements to the campsite

stopped again on our way north. this time only paid 160 pesos. it has hot shower and full hookups. cheaper than la jolla if you dont care about the beach that much

stopped here on our way down to south of baja. it was raining and getting dark so we decided to stop. they charged 200 pesos for 2 people with hookups. they also have shower and toilet but didnt use them since we have our own.

Classic campsite style with small side-by-side sites.
Very poor amenities: wifi not working. Showers were dirty and in urgent need of maintenance, and the water temperature was menopausal with cycles of burning hot and freezing cold!
We had understood the price to be 100 per site (small sites w/o hookups), but were given 3 different prices by 3 different staff and ended up having to argue about it, which soured our opinion of the place. We wouldn't go back.

Smile and speak Spanish and probably you get a site with electricity and water for 100 pesos, like we got. Even in Mexico this is a good deal.
At the house you will find a tap with fitred water.
The bathrooms are quite old but clean.

Nice place - We had no issues with road noise. Wifi is very slow - we used our telcel. Toilets are ok. Paid 260 pesos ( with kids ).

Very nice place like everyone says. A bit of road noise but that’s not the owner’s fault. It dies down after 10pm or so but picks up again around 6am.

Very nice place right at the water with beautiful view. Friendly owner, warm water, real campsites with firepits not just a big parking lot like others nearby, did‘nt use wi-fi. Paid 100 Pesos per night for 2 people and 1 van. Absolutely recommended.

Place itself is nice and direct by the water. If you stay at the RV section with electricity and water, it costs 200 Pesos, the Campingarea down by the water without electricity is 100 Pesos. Stayed here with our small Van. Showers are hot but you can't use them both at the same time. ;-) Quiet at night.

It's a nice spot! It's not noisy at night and the showers are super HOT so that is also a plus. Internet was not working well, but we struggle with WIFI in all Baja.

Sites are nice, noisey from the road though. However the showers are unusable and filthy. 100 pesos per night no hookups.

very nice place! Luis was friendly when we pulled up! $200 for 2 people for 2 nights without electric hook ups. clean bathrooms! not too fancy but nicest plsce we've stayed so far in Baja. it was rainy both days we were here so didn't get a chance to socialize too much.

A very nice spot; the owner, Don Alfredo, and his son Luis really made us feel welcome and at home. We had only planned on staying for one night but had such a nice experience that we stayed nearly a week. Camp spots overlooking the bay with 120VAC electric, water, sewer are $200 (a lot cheaper than nearby camp/RV parks). Very dog friendly, quiet, with plenty of shade trees. Perfect for a teuck camper or small RV or campervan. We'd happily come back again.

Quiet campground in the bay, right at the waterfront with a view. Very friendly young owner, barely doesn't speak English but is very helpful.
Everything a bit run down (cold showers only, dirty bathrooms), no other guest when we were there so not sure if it's more maintained in season. Wifi available, rather slow but a fair price for all (MXN 50 per person)

Really nice owner. Paid 100 mxn for the two of us. Haven't tried the showers yet, but they don't look that clean. Have been told the showers are hot. Wifi available, but connection fails sometimes. Nice view over the bay, especially at night and in the morning. Nice camping spot with palmtrees. Little maintainance on the sites. *really loud live music from a bar in the neighbourhood. Couldn't sleep for hours.. not sure if this was a one time thing or a regular thing in the weekends*

We paid 100 pesos. Nobody. Nous n'avons pas testé les douches. Pas beaucoup de wifi. Toilettes ok chez les dames mais pas d'eau ni de lumière chez les hommes. Camping pas très propre mais responsable très sympa.

Ok for some nights.

very nice place for the first nights in Mexico. we spent here two nights. shower's rustic but OK. 100mxn per night.

The kids name is Alejandro, Alex for gringo's. The restrooms are run down, but still possible to take a hot shower. Showers were working fine now. Relaxed place, good value for money.

We stayed here last night. We paid $100 pesos for 2 people, 2 dogs, truck camper and Jeep. It was quiet and the owner's son was very helpful and nice kid. The water flow in the shower barely exists so I doubt we will use it. Nice views from waterfront campsites.

100 Peso for us 2 and the van.
We arrived late and left early. Internet didn't work, no warm wasser at the shower. So we will not go back, but it is hard to complain for this price.

We came in the evening and found a very nice place to put our rv directly at the water.showers and toilets are ok.the Owners and the whole environment was very friendly.we paid only 150 for one night.

Nice place, sympatic owner and friendly neighbours. Restrooms and shower are not that clean. Nevertheless tha view and the feeling there worth it. We paid 100m$ for 2 for a van on a tent site. Wifi included.

nice place ful connection and wifi 150m$ A bit tacky but maybe because we are not in season.

Loved the geraniums planted around our site and the view of the bay. Castle-house makes it impossible to miss from the road. The very nice owner tried to help me connect with the wifi but it didn't seem to be working. "Maybe tomorrow." After taking a cold shower on a foggy morning in the women's , realized the men's had hot! First lesson I'm Mexican camp bathrooms ... Try all options before deciding which one to use!

Nice spot on the water, owned by a really lovely couple. Charged M$100 per night. We stayed two nights. On arrival the restroom (running water) and showers (cold) were filthy but a couple of hours after we arrived they cleaned them up pretty good. The camp spots were nicely planted with flowers. Their house is interesting, built to look like a castle with turrets! Picked up wifi from the house, was fast on arrival but really slow the following day.

Friendly owner, good views over the refuge. WiFi included.

Good place, $5 for the night.

Paid $5 USD for a nice, quiet night.

Nice and simple campground. Owner was friendly. One shower and one bathroom. $10/night. Wifi was somewhat fast. Friendly dogs. Nice view of the water. No swimming though

- 100 pesos
- WiFi
- hot showers (dirty)

Our first campsite in Mexico! Overlooking an estuary that looks like a big mud pit when the tide is out, beautiful when the tide is in – PROS: free wifi, electric and water hookups, empty save for the family that runs the place. Church’s says they have hot showers but we didn’t try them – CONS: The bathrooms were tiny, smelly and dirty, hence why we didn’t shower. Welcome to Mexico… – 12USD/night

Here we had our first night in Mexico. Good spot.

Not far from Ensenada, this is a nice place on the water. The father of this family spent most of his extra money from the last ten years turning his house into a castle, turrets included. There are nice shady palapas and farm animals roaming around the camping area. Wifi available near the house.

Charmingly made sites righta at the lagoon. Electricity / water / waste water at site. Bathrooms are "muy rustico". Hot water was only available in the men's shower.

(Originally 200 pesos / day, but 50 pesos less after an inquiry, since we do not require power)
