El Litro is located on a dirt street at the edge of the Todos Santos. To get there you drive through a dusty Mexican neighborhood filled with curious dogs. The park is basically a large dirt lot ringed with palm trees. About half of the spaces are taken by permanent residents, and the rest are open for travellers. According to the American woman Sylvia who manages the place with her Mexican husband, a fire occurred around 7 years ago and we couldn't see any signs of it. The place is a little shabby, but felt very safe. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to the center of town. We paid $300 pesos/night for electricity and water.

This was our 3rd time to Tecalote, the first being March 2020. We loved it and we were excited to return. The beach, the ocean, the beauty, the vibe. I had wondered why it hasn’t been more commercially developed or privatized. I think this trip we found out. Having parked on the packed rockway/road, we had no idea that the strong winds would bring a storm surge at high tide overnight that would leave us and the other campers up and down the beach scrambling to push and pull stuck vehicles out of the tidal floods - out of streams and ponds that had formed overnight, near the water and farther in the shrubs. Some folks were high and dry but stranded on the far side of a river that had formed. So … if you camp here - make sure you are on high and solid ground if there’s a strong wing blowing!

This place is huge! It has a lot of long term residents from mostly the US and Canada, but also space for those passing through or weekending from Guadalajara. Some spots are well shaded under large trees and every spot has electricity and water (some/all have 30 AMP available). There are pools, washrooms and showers. They have about 5 WiFi connections 100 mbs speed so you just new to choose the one that suits your location best. If you are a sports fanatic, than you may be right at home with the volleyball, beach volleyball, soccer fields, basketball and tennis courts all inside the park walls. A lighthouse is locate closest to the water and the area around the lighthouse also doubles as a off-leash area. Plenty of playground equipment do kids as well. The price is 350 pesos for one night.

Great location to explore Cholula and Puebla. This is an established campground with water, electric, and dumps at each site with nice grassy areas. $250 pesos per night cash only. This is located in an apartment complex with several buildings with residents all around so people are constantly coming and going. With that said, it's still quiet. It's gated with a 24 hour attendant to let you in and out as you need. Great showers with hot water, and beautiful renovated bathrooms with toilets. Pool is drained and dirty. There are 2 dogs on site - watch your stuff and look out for dog droppings.

Owned by a very friendly lady who speaks some English. She'll make breakfast if you request it, for a small charge.

About 12 sites (6 pull through, 6 a little smallish back in) separated by slim hedges, with (chlorinated) running water, sewage and electricity. A few more improvised sites available. WiFi reception all over, pretty fast outside peak hours. Shade by tall trees. Walled with locked gate: safe. Kitchen with dining area and fireplace (wood provided), cabana with just a fireplace for general use, daily cleaned bathrooms and showers with generous hot water flow 24/7. Friendly staff. Quite a few overlanders stay long(er), some months for maintenance and overhaul. Short walk to old centre, yet no noise at night. 150 per night per pers. 75 for children. a bit expensive. wifi ok ...when it works, sometimes it crashes. common air and bathroom/toilet ok. lack a fridge. the only thing that bothers me is the behavior of these so-called campers respectful of life, of gaia and all that, but when the time comes to pick up their dogs' droppings, there are no more people. they surely consider it to be good compost. town 15 minutes away, very pretty to visit. very large fruit, vegetable and meat market but also crafts. --- 150 par nuit par pers. 75 pour les enfants. unnpeu chers. wifi ok ...quand il fonctionne, quelquefois il crash. air commune et sdb/toilettes ok. manque un frigo. le seul truc qui me dérange est le comportement de ces soi disant campeurs respectueux de la vie, de gaia et tout ca mais quand vient le temps de ramasser les crottes de leurs chiens ya plus personnes. ils considerenrvela sûrement ckmme du bon compost. ville a 15 min, tres jolis a visiter. tres gros marché aux fruits, legumes et viandes mais aussi artisanat.

Very nice campground close to the entrance of the ruins site. paid 400 pesos for two people. Nice swimming pool and howler monkeys. Live music every night till 11 pm . All facilities. Wifi in the restaurant.

Entire hotel and RV park is handicap accessible. Electricity was strong enough to power our A/C (140V), dump and good water pressure at each site. Restaurant La Gringa at site. Thelma, the owner of the hotel and RV park is kind and accommodating, speaks Spanish and English. She can help arrange getting laundry done, drinking water delivery, dolphin boat tours, or even massages if needed. There are hot showers and clean toilets available. It's literally beachfront so you have incredible views if you stay at first row. There's a fruteria and OXXO within walking distance. There is a great grocery store! Just not as big as the Chedraui or Soriana. It’s called Mi Super Isla Iguada and it’s located a few blocks away on the corner of Calle Via 5 de Mayo and Calle Emiliano Zapata.

The rooms here were basic, if a little expensive. We heard from other travelers that they were allowed to pitch a tent on the roof, which would be awesome. There is a communal kitchen with stove and fridge. Parking is on the street and a serious pain to find close to the hostel.

This is a restaurant with a small camping area, mostly designed for RVs, although you can pitch a tent if you want. It was the only place to camp nearby the Uxmal ruins. The bathroom block was decidedly sketchy. There may have been electricity in the restaurant, we didn't ask. Watch out for spiders here, there's plenty and they are big n' hairy.

Excellent hostel, with all the amenities. Parking is about a block away but there is a height restriction. Our 4Runner barely fit. They did have a small camping area, but we opted for a room. A simple breakfast was included.

Big cement areas with covered palapas are in the back of this hotel. You have to park out front and walk all your things to the back. (For TENT camping). The wifi was good, but didn't reach much past the lobby. They have a restaurant but it was closed when we were there. (still clised 1/19)

This resort essentially caters to long term vacationers who build shacks around their RV's, but there is a Nice enough parking lot for RV's or campers (relatively small number of camping spots). $50 us per night for RV's. No Internet is available for campers. The hotel is nice with bathtubs and a small kitchen area and quite fast Internet hotspots in each room. Hotel rooms look out over the ocean and are cleaned daily. The pool is clean and refreshing and is included in the camp/hotel fees. We negotiated a 30% discount on hotel fees as we were staying for 5 days, but the price still amounted to 1300 peso per night.

The camping site MUNDO CHALIO in XpuHa is located in the middle between Playa del Carmen and Tulum. It is one of the last possibilities to camp almost close to the beach. All other beaches are blocked by hotels. The access road to MUNDO CHALIO is easy to find. On the expressway 307 towards Cancun pay attention to the kilometer stone 265. DIRECTLY HERE turn into the access road to the RESTAURANT LA PLAYA , to the diving school BAHIA DIVERS and to the CLAMPINGHOTEL SERENITI. After approx. 70 metres you will come to a checkpoint. Here you will be charged the entrance fee to the beach. FOR CAMPERS THE ACCESS IS FREE ! The beach area of XpuHa is turtle sanctuary, therefore no dogs. This is also controlled here! Make sure that nobody can see your dog in the camper. In front of the restaurant car park, turn left into the access road to the campsite. The rent is 300 MXN WITHOUT electrics and 450 MXN WITH electrics per night and per motorhome, NOT per PERSON !!!!. From the spaces to the water it is about 70 meters. All spaces are FULL-HOOK-UP. Even very large campers have no problems with us. The camping site consists of fine sand from corals, it does not get hot even in the biggest midday heat! The water in the sea becomes deeper and deeper only very slowly, so that the place is also ideal for small children and almost harmless ! Then we should also talk about sea grass. On 5 to 10 days a year there is a lot going on, in most of the time there is little and on some days nothing at all is washed up. Of course the beach is cleaned every day... After you have eaten your breakfast, the beach will be sea grass free again. You know that English is not our mother tongue. Please excuse our mistakes. We wish you a pleasant stay on our camping site MUNDO CHALIO directly at the beautiful Caribbean beach of the Riviera Maya.

Huge place with lots of grass and spaces for big rigs. Palapas and bar have been rebuilt after storms. Electricity at almost every site. There are covered areas with cement tables and benches and a big beautiful swimming pool. Good showers. Music from bar and neighboring restaurant. $350/ night. Good WiFi. Laundry on site.

Cheap mojitos, a small pool and pool table. Street parking only. Internet was down (and had been for a few days) when we stayed here.

Has secure parking for one vehicle, no bigger than a mid-size SUV. The kitchen was constantly dirty.

The park has a set of nice waterfalls, a good place to go for a swim. Look out for scorpions at night. The bathrooms were pretty sketchy.

Lots of covered camping spaces with parking close by. Good place to hang out a few days and explore the island. The trail up the volcano starts from behind the farmhouse. Wifi available in the restaurant and decently fast. With extension cord, we were able to get electrical hook up.

Just a block uphill from the main square, this was a great place to spend a few nights. There is no supermarket in the town and like everywhere else in Northern Argentina, all of the shops will close between 1pm and 6pm. Plan accordingly. There is wifi, but we had to beg for the password as we were told it was only for guests staying in the hotel. We also has to beg for the receptionist to charge our laptops. There are no outlets in the camping area. Up to the size of a Sprinter van ok. 250 peso pppn.

This is a huge campground with typical facilities for Argentina. Power outlets, grills and tables at most sites.

This is the best place to stay in Salta. Large grounds with space for hundreds of tents and campers. On busy times (summers, weekends) it fills with hundreds of people including lots of day users for the pool and has a carnival kind of atmosphere. Not a quiet spot. We heard there is a disco club nearby, and it's best to go elsewhere on weekends. The gargantuan swimming pool is only full 2 months of the year, but the rest of the campground is still well maintained. Don't leave things laying around here. Many overlanders have reported thefts. No internet, but we found unlocked networks nearby. **edit: updated GPS location.** Update January 2020: Arg$ 61/person and Arg$ 88/motorhome

The bottom area is grassy and has tables, grill and lots of shade, great for tent campers. Above is a dirt area with sites divided by nice hedges, more level and better for vehicles. There is electricity all day at the sites above, and electricity at the bottom sites after 7pm when the lights are turned on. Hot showers available at certain times of the day.

Clean simple place. Lots of shade. Good hot showers. Good wifi in spots. Walkable distance from town. Electricity plugs everywhere. Sinks for washing dishes and clothes. Cats and dogs on site, but all very friendly and quiet. Maintenance guy will knock on your door to collect money daily around 8PM. See (changing) prices on last comments.

A great grassy camping area a few blocks from the center. Little shop on site selling basic necessities. Children's playground with new equipment Plenty of bbqs and tables (some under cover). A great camping spot, apart from the cold showers and sketchy bathrooms. There is an irrigation trench that runs through the camping area and thankfully drowns out the noise of other campers. Lots of shade, huge grilling areas, and covered shelters with tables.

Every other place around town was closed up, so we ended up here by chance. I think we lucked out because the owner was about to leave when we drove in. He unlocked the bathrooms, brought out some chairs and turned on the power. Wood fired hot showers.

We don't know the name of this place. It was just across the street from a well signed, but very closed campground/hostel. The family was very friendly and the campground looked quiet and had lots of shade. They also have a merry-go-round and light switches for those pesky lamps that always happen to be right above our tents.

A not-tranquilo place a few miles outside of town, 7 km from the city center. Covered shelters for tents, tables, chairs and of course grilling areas too.

Camping on Grass. Lovely large plot down by the river. Hot Showers. Power. Water (with long hose). Grills and picnic tables.. Sheltered from wind. Very tranquil. Cost AR$800 per night. No pets allowed.
