Kimball Stone | Haven't camped here, having opted for Rancho Alicia, where I have gotten no bad vibes, and have plenty of sky for solar, and reliable enough internet to not need my starlink.
Also, the beach is drivable. I had no problems crossing it in my 5000kg van, and the only vehicle I've seen stuck was a water delivery truck that backed up into a soft spot. EDIT: Actually, be sure to check the tides, surf, and weather first if you're going to camp here. Surfline is probably your best bet. The combination of 10 foot tides and moderate surf brought the ocean all the way through this beach such that water was flowing into the dry creek bed. It wouldn't be enough to float you away or anything, but it'd probably be enough to sink you into the sand and saltwater. I'd imagine similar would happen if the creek picked up a decent amount of rain. |

voicelesssort03 | nice and quiet spot. It is apparent that people have camped here before. Multiple fire pits, burned out cans and plenty toilet paper around. The location is superb, only not the cleanest, sadly. |

davidrigal | Yes, this is the official entrance. Take a collective or a taxi to Ovejuyo or Chasquipampa and get out at Calle 63. From there you have to walk up 7 blocks to the entrance road. You can also drive up with your car. No need to pay, the entrance to the valley is free. 4 km pebble stone road through the dry river bed lead up into the canyon and you can even do a circuit (starts on the right of the eucalyptus tree after 1.7 km). Use maps.me to find the trail. Don’t miss the mirador up on the right. After 700m more or less? Views over the valley on one side, and over the city of la Paz on the other side are beautiful. Best time to visit are obviously early morning of late afternoon but you can spend a whole day there. Hiking is tough because of the heat and the altitude. Bring plenty water and food. |

john4kaz | Site conditions have changed. The site has been completely overhauled since 2023, and you can no longer drive in and leave $ in mailbox. You must call fairgrounds at 541-851-2115 or email [email protected] to reserve a space. Website says they are now charging $50 per night |

Guillaume | Amazing spot facing the falls. The road to go down was dry so we took it and it wasn't that hard with the Jimny. No animals around, just a dog who searched the bin at the beginning of the night. Very friendly locals. Good 4G reception with Econet. |

deafcancel10 | As described, little sand place next to the reservoir. Not really leveled but some place are not too bad. Pit toilet at the place but if you take the paved walked next to it, there are running toilet and potable water but it's a 10min walk. We followed the description from other post to arrive and found the place super easily. |

SUVlife | Stayed a night here. Very peaceful. The pin took me to the swim beach which was raucous and not camp-able. Veer to the right when you get close to the coordinates and that’s where the campground is. Free! Didn’t see a sign with max stay so assuming it’s 14 days. Portapotties and trash available. Mostly locals coming by to fish during the day. 2-3 bars T-Mobile. |

pascalvdven | Nice spot on the way to Nemrut Dagi. Beautiful view on the mountains, flat terrain and well kept places to sit and relax. Shower and toilets are basic. When we were here the restaurant had only 1 option but it was very tasty.

leanderoppen | Small campground just an hour and a half from Hay River. Lots of space for small vans and tents, larger rigs might not fit between the trees. Located at Sandy Lake and a smaller pond (which are both still frozen). There is a sign for the lake if you follow Hwy 5 from Hay River. There are pit toilets and benches. It’s a nice place, so please take your garbage with you :) |

honeymoonhwy | Very nice SP. clean and well kept. Clean, free hot showers. Electric on site but no water. Sites in the east campground are nice level gravel. Picnic tables and fire rings. The downsides are: if you don’t have a reservation when you get here you have to go online or call an 800 number. There is also considerable traffic noise. If you’re coming here and you plan in advance, definitely make reservations. |

veganvan | Be careful - if you show up too late, no one is there to let you in and you can’t get in without them. No idea their hours, but I showed up like 6:30 pm on a Sunday which was too late, I assume especially for a Sunday. I ended up going down to the hostería further north (traveling by bike and camped there). |

kb | Very nice and peaceful place to spend the night. As mentioned by others, it's very level past the picnic tables and near the trailhead. The only problem is that we woke up to snow, which was not in the forecast. Also room for overflow parking just off the road. |
