We stayed here 1 night away from the city center. Very quiet, we felt safe. There were other campers and a guy with his pickup and trailer who seemed to live here.
Next to the river.

Free Dump and Potable Water. Highly recommend going inside the Visitor Center as the staff is so friendly and can help you find sights or camping spots. Free WIFI and bathrooms. Visitor Center hours currently are 9am - 4:30pm Monday through Saturday. Closed Sundays and holidays.

Lovely camp for one night. Paid 275 for meal, 3 beers, and camping.
Beware of any trail behind loos. Big and small ants and they all bite. Had to move my tent.

The campsite is wooded, has great space, the internet works very well and the bathrooms are clean. It's a great place for those traveling with pets and Marcos is an excellent host. The Camping is really worth getting to know.

small paved lot just off major road. some traffic noise but surprisingly quiet. No signs prohibiting overnight parking but not the intended use of this lot. In the end I stayed four nights here in my DIY van with no issues.

As mentioned this is a very nice spot on the Big Horn River. Lots of wildlife. Dump station near water is turned off at the sites, probably until Labor Day.

quite and safe large area. there is a potable tap on the corner. on Thursdays they set a local market that you can buy fresh veggies and fruit and cheap clothing. we spend one night it was very quiet. the place is very close to the historical places

Nice spot, more pleasant than the rest area.Hidden, several little spots with pit fire at the bottom of mountain.
No toilet, no garbage (take back your waste please).
Useful just before/after the gate park.

Beautiful site on top of mountain with 360 view From the Alpes to the Mediterranean. Suitable for both campers and vans.

landslide happened 10-05-2024 but are being cleared! We passed with 4x4.

Beautiful place with incredible views. Agree with the prior comments of it being overrun at sunset and sunrise with people focused on themselves and being pretty rude. Once that insanity left it was a wonderful quiet morning.

Drive in with a 2wd Sprinter 170 was easy, no worries getting in here.

This guy is really helpful, indeed! He got oil, filters etc. I found diesel filters for our Toyota that I couldn't find anywhere else in Iquique or even Santiago!

Big parking area with several campers and big RV parked to overnight. Good place to relax after crossing USA- Canadá border, always more relaxed coming into Canada. Canadiam border guards are really friendly. We slept well as the car park is really calm

Huge road construction works at the moment... impossible to stop here. sadly making a huge highway from there to Aquiduana

I took a boat (30,000 Naira) from oron here, and the man in Green police uniform brought me to the immigration office, people there(I don't know who they are) they said to me that I cannot enter this country. And a man from boat company very rude took my passport, cheated my money and sent me back to Nigeria. And after some stories, with the help of Security territory, I got back to Idenau and stamped my passport. So the truth is that I met bad people and they lied to me and made me traveled three times between Nigeria and Cameron. The immigration men are in blue uniform, they are the only one you can really trust.

Because of sciatica pain, I looked for a medical masseur. Givi was recommended to me and after my therapy I can recommend him to others. He is a rehab specialist, masseur, cupping and acupuncture.

Very large flat camp site on top of the mountain. Room for several rigs. BLM land

Fairly flat, open campsite with stunning 360 views. BLM land may need high clearance vehicle. Not 4wd.

I had to be in the area the next day, so it was convenient. It's right off the main road and close to lots of stores and services. Very comfortable, but it's not the most picturesque. It's got a bit of a rock quarry or industrial site vibe to it. Definitely recommended if you're passing through and need a spot for a night.

We didn’t spend the night here but certainly could have.Very interesting spot. If you have a high clearance vehicle you’ll do fine on the roads around the area, but it would be slick if wet. Road in is ok. We towed our 25 foot trailer in and just took it slow. I suggest staying in the parking area and walking in. The coordinates for this are actually for the old buildings and not the parking area. There is an info sign up on the hill.

Very helpful staff on our visit to the orange shop in town. Fast service and helped me buy the right amount of data, no attempt at funny business and didn't ask for anything additional they shouldn't have

They also have okey toilets and you can easily refill a small water can with water.

The market place to go if you are searching fresh fruits & legumes. Also fish, eggs and many more stores.

We visited on a Friday at 6pm and most stores were still open. Easy parking directly all around.

This is the most suitable place to stay in Mollepata for real travelers.
Rooms are comfortable with private bathroom, warm shower and mostly working Wifi.
The lady is really kind and communicative plus she can cook delicious (as well vegetarian) meals.
They have a restaurant on site as well. It can be a bit noisy, which is mainly due to the type of construction (typical peruvian style).
Overall much more recommended than the extremely expensive places up in Soraypampa or Casona Mollepata (very greedy owners).

We felt a bit awkward trying to use these showers, since they are part of the local middle school and high school... we ended up moving on! You're welcome to try to use them, just a heads up on the situation.

A mixed bag. Didier was not around during our visit so we dealt with his wife Melani. She welcomed us and managed to help us organise with the guys working there to solve our problems

We went for some welding and brake pads and after nearly 6.5 hours we finally left.
The mechanic helping me with the brake pads was severely incompetent, damaging the piston and telling me it was OK until I refused and we filed the burr down. The welding and brazing I had completed was OK but nobody checked at any point the position things should be welded so it was completely wrong and we had to mess around for around 1.5 hours to readjust and sort things that shouldn't have gone wrong.
They have lots of good equipment here and a very good workshop it's just a shame the staff are not very skilled. I had to keep a close eye at all times and recommend you do the same.
Melani also made some sly comments about the fact my girlfriend and I shouldn't have children as we were not very patient (this was after 4.5hours and already multiple mistakes from the guys) and I had to walk away before I lost my temper.
In the end, Melani could see things had gone wrong so didn't charge us for the welding but we wasted a whole day for what really should have been a 3 hour bunch of tasks maximum! The bike mechanic was not employed directly there but was hired in and honestly it would have been faster and easier had he just delivered me the brake pads rather than "helping"
