Like everyone reports.
Just check before you leave: you get extended visa (30 days) as a filled form on the back of your passport copy. This also needs a stamp and signature to be valid. They almost forgot that for me, so better check it / or show security guard at the door to be sure.

I went to the copy shop and got my visa and passport copied. You also need two pictures. I got prioritised and could skip the Afghan queue. Whole process took me 1,5 hours. Highly recommended, officers were friendly.

followed the tips and went first to the copy shop. Lady was super efficient and friendly. In this office, likewise. Got a 30-day extension on the spot. The whole procedure took under 1 hour. HIGHLY recommended

We got an extension of our visa for 30 days easily and quickly. 1.5 hours including copy shop. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Recommendation: go to the copy shop first (nearby). A folder is being prepared there. In the office, it's best to go straight to the first floor. In the office on the left is an elderly man who speaks very good English. He signs. Then on the ground floor to the counter. Pay by card. If you don't have a card, the officers will ask another customer. An official made his card available to us.
Prices: Copy shop 500,000 Rial. Visa 500,000 Rial (~ 1 US-$)

Extension for 60 days is usually possible, but takes several days.

If you apply for a 60 day visa extension, maybe the following process will be of help. 30 days can be arranged directly (same day?) by the police officials, 60 days needs an external approval and can take a few days.

- Visit the copy shop first, mention visa extension and the employees will help you to prepare a special (pink) folder with all the needed documents: copy passport, copy visa, 3 pictures (!), filled in form and to be added a receipt of payment. Pictures can be made directly.
- Visit the police station, mention 60 days wish, present the folder. With approval of the police chief (upstairs), pay (downstairs) and add receipt to the package. They also asked us to include our original visa. Received a green paper in exchange for the original visa. Time spend: +/- 2.5h.
- Pick-up visa on agreed day (we came in on a Tuesday and could pick it up on Sunday). Took us 1h.
- Payments: visa 1.000.000R/person , copy shop 200.000R , photo 400.000R/person

All quite streight forward. Best to go first to the copy shop around the corner. They arrange the documents, folders and necessary copies for you. With that we were 10am. at the police station. About 1 hour later we already had our visa.

Family with 4 persons. We asked for 60 days and they gave it to us, however we could only appeal 5 days late and they don't keep the passport during this days like in Isfahan.  Official speaks English very well and are very friendly.  We fill out our forms in English at the place where we made the copies.

Arrived 7:45 in the morning. 4 Dutch persons. Extension asked for 60 days. Payed 320.000 toman for 60 days. (They asked a visitor to pay by card) Policeofficer didn’t talked english. All fine. Pick up the extensions after 3 days.(because of 60 days extension,seems new rule) Left 9:00am.

Very easy. We had the option for 30 days (same day) or 60 days (takes 3 days).
As we have some things to do, we decided to take 60 days to avoid going to another immigration office.
We arrived 8.30 and left before 10.

If you need copies, there is a photo lab some meters further south. 1 copy = 500T

NO SUCCESS!
With all the reports about Yazd as a quick and super friendly option to extend the visa, we didn’t expect any problems.
The police officer was very friendly, and spoke good English, but refused to extend our visa, because we still had 10 days left.
He told us, we can do it in any city, and there will be no problems whatsoever.
He pointed to the crowds in the police station, and told us that they were really very busy.
When I tried to explain that we will head into the desert, he asked us: “Well, how long will you stay there? Ten days?”
Well, I didn’t want to press him too much, and I didn’t want to lie either, so the result was negative.
In summary: police is nice and friendly, but maybe already wary of all the travelers who think it is a good idea to extend their vIsa in Yadz!

Smooth process. Take with you: two pass photo’s per person (for woman; a photo with head scarf is prefered, but they did allow without), copy of your passport, copy of your visa. In the office you fill in a form, where you also need to fill in your Iranian phone number if you have any, so don’t forget to bring the number.

We were quite early with the extension (our current visa is still valid 14 days but we want to do some offroading/ will not be in city area). First they asked us to go to another city, but in the end they agreed to extend the visa, we could pick it up the next morning. Friendly officer.

Payed 400.000 rial pp with our MAH card, and 20.000 rial pp cash for paperwork

In the morning it should be very crowded. We arrived here at 12 o'clock and apologized for our late arrival and told them that we have to continue today. we paid 345000 IRR per person for 30 days (only Iranian payment card, no cash). Mobile phones must be specified, note down your Iranian number beforehand. if you have an e-Visa, bring along not only a passport copy (in addition to the original passport) but also a copy of the e-Visa, as the extension will be entered on the reverse side and the copies will remain there. Do not forget 2 passport pictures!

Super smooth, very nice guy. Don’t forget, tell the officer before you fill out the forms you want 60 days. Than you pay and afterwards you fill out your details. We didn’t tell we drove with a camper. Just told we used public transportation. 1 hour everything was ready. Got to months

Everything worked smoothly. Don't forget to write down your Iranian number somewhere. I had to go back to the entrance and check my phone for the number. 2 months extension no problem, if you can explain why or tell your rough itinerary.

Now it’s marked on the right location. Very easy process, bring 2 pictures (women with hijab is better), cash money or an Iranian paycard (ask for gift card at any bank).
We extended our visa here twice, got both times 2 months extra.
They speak English and are very nice, wait some minutes and you‘re done :-)

It’s better to have a iranian paycard, BUT if you don’t have one, they will try to find someone to pay for you.
To get an Iranian paycard you don’t need to pay for the tourist „Mahcard“, you can go to any bank and buy a „gift card“. On that gift card you load a certain amount and pay with it as long as you still have „credit“ on it. Very useful for visa extension and other situation where cash is not accepted.
Officials speak English, we got our extension within an hour. Very easy!

entrance by the small door. Friendly guys. took 1,5hour to fill the forms for 4 peoples. Iranian people paid for us with his bank card and I give him cash to avoid going to the bank and save time. pickup passeport back the morning of the next day.

THIS is the right address to extend your visa. Very friendly English speaking officer. He will give you 60 days if you politely ask.

We came here at 07.15, already 10 or 15 people were waiting. At 07.30 they opened and we were invited to go in first. After paying 345.000real p.p at Melli Banc, we had to fill in twice a formular and hand over the copies of passport, visa, entry stamp and two passfotos. As adress we said Camping and we had to leave a phone number (we gave them our irancell mobile number). At 1pm we could fetch our passports back again. We asked for 15 days, they gave us 30. Attached you find a foto with all needed papers you should bring!

I got 30 days extension in 1,5hrs total, including walking to the Meli bank across the roundabout and paying 345.000 IRR at bank and 5.000 IRR to officials.
