Under a small Acacia in riverbed with little dune. Leave the D707 at the riverbed left (going south), then cross the plain and enter the riverbed again. Shady place beside the Acacia. We were obviously not the first here to camp. A bit windy. A place like we always look for overnight - and in this area with fences nearly everywhere we were happy to find it.

This place is on private property although we did not know because of no fences!
Very unfriendly aggressiv owner chased us away! So not recommended any more!!
very quiet spot with a beautiful view! We just established a new firepit because everything was washed away with the last rain.
Report Check-InPerfect wildcamp... but definitely NOT during rainy season!
We stopped there for our dinner, but moved out of the riverbed when rainstorm was visible and coming toward us.
Very windy during the night and wind changed direction...
Thus we changed our location to be protected by the dune.
extra : In the morning we hiked up the hill to the west for a 360° view. (And discovered another overlander car parked in the surroundings)
Report Check-InWent to have a look at this place at midday. Farmer came rushing up to me quite friendly but telling me this is not allowed. ... maybe entering at dusk is better
Report Check-InNice not fenced area. A lot of flat places for camping. No animals except from cows and mostly very windy. No need to cross sandy riverbed, there is a road from the north side.
No MTC signal.
Perfect wildcamping. Someone build a fireplace with some rocks and left some wood, how sweet! No problems with the thorns but pay attention! We built a ramp to excit the place smoothly. Thank you for sharing this place
Report Check-InVery cool place to stay next to the red sand and a beautiful view from the mountains. Thorns are a pain but easy to avoid at least for us now.
Little down the road a water tank which allows animals to drink from but has free access to get some water to do your dishes or some laundry. Great place! Windy but it stopped around 08:00pm
We stayed here for two nights. Great spot with beautiful surroundings and well hidden from the road. Nice place to have a day off and read! There is a windmill and water tank further down the riverbed that sometimes made a noise when the wind was stronger. So if you hear a bang then that’s what it is! We were a little bit cheeky and walked to the tank and filled our bottle. The water seemed fine to drink and definitely fine to cook with.
We got a flat tyre on the way there, so be really careful of the devil thorns. On the way out one of us walked the tracks to remove any seen thorns or detour from the spikes. 4x4 recommended as it is very sandy.
Would definitely recommend this spot.
Report Check-InPerfect spot out of sight of the road behind a small dune so no wind, very sandy so 4x4 only and lower your tyre pressure! And watch those Devils Thorns...
