Cottonwood Park Free Camp 2 | Informal Campsite

Not my favorite, but it worked. It's just a waterfront park parking lot. Plenty of spots but it's not enough room to space out too much. Other campers were here as well as park goers. Train tracks are far away but you'll definitely hear them throughout the evening.

Great spot! Funky smell outside.
Some industrial noises all night. Very pretty! I just read the review warning people to stay away. I'm happy I didn't read that before staying here.

Great spot for me, my truck house and my dog. A bit dark for my taste but quite manageable. Can definitely hear the pulp mill nearby and the distant rumble of some trains. Riverside trails along the Nechako are an added bonus.

We slept here ( and yesterday at the other parking just next here). We prefered here. Peoples cames at the end of the day and they sang American Indian music along the river, we saw a 6 members of the beaver family. The sunset on the river is very beautiful. It was quiet and nobody in the parking the night. We were 2 RV here.

Place is as described. It was VERY dark because there were no lamps at all but people still came by to walk dogs with flashlights. Quiet night, no issues.

No signs of no overnight parking, a few people until sunset and a very quiet night . Nice river view. We can hear trains far away that didn’t bother our sleep .

first went to other, Cottonwoodpark, location. Too close to the road and just a small parkinglot. This place is bigger and close to the rivers. Came friday afternoon, joggers, doggers, bycycles and people for a walk. unfortunately partypeople at night. no sleep lot of noise.such a pity for such a beautiful spot

lovely spot, great walking trail and spotted eagles and hawks. couple vehicles vosotonf after dark for a bit but no troubles. would stay again.

Stayed here one night with no problems. No Drug dealers or party folk. Maybe because it wasn’t a weekend. You can here some noise from the Industry over the river and the rail yard, but still quieter then one spot away next to the road.

DO NOT CAMP HERE!! stayed two nights, lots of traffic in and out of car park until late both nights. Prince George has a large gang presence due to the drug trade, seems like this is a hotspot - woken up at 1am by a Dodge charger doing donuts behind our van, screaming "fuck you", intimidation tactics. Would not recommend, feel lucky we got away. Don't want this or worse to happen to anyone else

Very nice and quiet area.
We spent one night with a very little noise from the industriel park accros the road but we slept very well
At morning we saw two Foxes and one bald eagle.

Parking on the other side of the park. Nice view over the river. No road traffic noise. Easy access for all rigs. Bit of a distant wood industrie hum at night. Dark, no lampposts.
