Beautiful place to stay overnight listening to crashing waves. Appears it used to be a hotel about 100 metres deeper into the water in past that burned down. Water levels are higher know since the dam was build. Also someone build a nice bush toilet ☺️
Report Check-InReally nice spot on the lake. Entrance kind of hidden. Lots of room for multiple parties. Fire pits. Really close to the turn-off for Halfway Hot Springs. (Ps. No gate or “private property” signs... I think that person was at a different spot.)
Report Check-InAmazing! We were the only ones there and it has an amazing view and sunset and plenty of fire wood to get us through the night. Recommend.
Report Check-InGot here before knowing that it is an overlander spot. Found no signs, which says „private property“! Went here with a VW T4 - no problem.
Report Check-InStopped here but could not get in, access too tight/ overgrown for my Sprinter. Great for small or beater cars, vans/trucks!
Report Check-Inspotted this place as I drove by and committed to stay here before I even checked ioverlander. nice spot, right on the beach with access for a few vehicles. noisy with the road traffic though it is cyclical with the ferry schedules.
Report Check-InSuper nice spot by the river, directly on a rock/sand beach with super view of the mountains. Narrow entry and high clearance recommended. Close to the road but no trafic. Swimming and fishing possible.
