Very pretty spot, couldn’t find flat spot down by the lake so parked at the top. Lookout but couldn’t access the top since door was locked. A bit windy at night but had a great sunset

Favorite camp spot so far in 9 weeks of vanlife. Gorgeous views, peaceful lake (like a mini crater lake), and super fast Verizon lte.

Dirt roads up the mountain are in decent condition but they are pretty steep and/or rocky in some spots, particularly going down to gorgeous crystal lake. Not for the faint of heart.

4x4 recommended (but my 2wd slightly lifted extended sprinter seemed to manage ok in low gear). Wouldn’t recommend in weather.

It's AMAZING here!!! Great views, cooler weather, and the roads are in great shape.

We arrived on a Saturday, the views from the top were incredible but there were many other folks there for day use, so we backtracked a bit down the mountain and took a left away from the view point. The moss-covered trees were vibrant and gorgeous, there were a few fire rings throughout the network of roads, the sunset was unbelievable on the side that looked out at lassen peak and crystal lake. We were there all day Sunday, and there were lots of folks who came to use the mountain biking trails, but it wasn’t bothersome. No one was there on Sunday night with us, highly suggest going during the week if you want more privacy!

Fantastic place to spend one night or more! View at Lassen Peak, you stay above a lake and has an awesome view at the landscape more than 180degrees! High recommended! Little bit rough road, maybe a bit difficult if it is raining.

View point at the top of the mountain. Approx. 30 minutes of dirt road! Not good if it raining. Mountain bike trail close if some one can bring your car back down. Lte
