Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
As of January 1, 2024, there's now a $15/night fee. I didn't notice until I had checked in, but this area is designed for people with horses. There's a suggestion for another nearby site. There's only one other tent in the area so I'm not taking a horse spot.
This area seems nice with some sites having a fair bit of privacy. The sites have hitching posts, picnic tables, grills and poles with hooks.
Report Check-InClosed October 1st, opening again in April supposedly. Long rock drive up.
Report Check-InDecent spot not too out of the way, nestled in a juniper forest. Was great for a couple of days, in my case, and not too busy when I visited. There's a water spigot, dumpster for trash and a pit toilet. You can access the trail from the campsite. The trails were overgrown in parts but found a ton of chanterelles there.
